Today we revisit 4-LOM. 4-LOM wasn’t part of the Trilogo line. We’re showing one of the foreign Return Of The Jedi card back instead. 4-LOM was a late release in 1982 because it was first offered as the line’s mail-away figure that year. See the full card art and additional notes by revisiting 1982’s THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK 4-LOM figure HERE.
If you missed it, it’s back! Amazon has the 6 Inch 4-LOM and Zuckuss set available for $49.99. Thanks to JTA reader Mark for the alert!
In 1984, new packaging for Star Wars figures was introduced for the European market. A cost containment initiative, the new packaging sported three languages of the Return Of The Jedi logo for a “one size fits all” approach. Although a “three-logo” design was created for The Power Of The Force line (as evidenced on some ‘boxed’ toys), it wasn’t carried over to the basic figure line’s card design. They continued to use the three Return Of The Jedi logos instead. Although the word “Trilogo” is found nowhere on the packaging, the term is universally adopted by all Star Wars collectors to describe this line of figures.
Today we revisit Zuckuss. Zuckuss has card art that’s nearly identical to the Kenner release. See the full Trilogo card art and additional notes by revisiting 1982’s THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Zuckuss figure HERE.

There is good news for the UK and beyond regarding The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ Zuckuss figure. Hasbro is officially getting it out to collectors in the UK! It’s coming soon! Star Action Figures is taking pre-orders right now!
It has just been confirmed, and this is excellent news for collectors in Europe. Both Zuckuss and Captain Phasma (Quicksilver Baton) are both coming soon there! Per our friends at StarWarsFiguren.com, they will be available through any store who orders from the wholesaler, that is specialty stores, websites, others
Well, I was informed today by my etailer of choice in Germany that they will most likely not get the US Disney Store exclusives Phasma (Quicksilver Baton) and Zuckuss. But they wished me good luck finding the figures elsewhere. Ok, ebay usually has everything and not getting the figures at all was never the problem, but ebay has ebay prices and of course you can get Zuckuss and Phasma both on ebay. And I pulled the trigger, but not without much grumbling. However, the whole bounty hunter collection would be pretty much useless without Zuckuss. The question now is, fellow collectors outside North America: were you able to find, pre-order or buy either of the figures in your country (other than on ebay, that is)? And dear Hasbro, why on earth is it so difficult sometimes to get figures to distributors or etailers outside of North America? And why can’t or won’t the various Disney Stores in Europe and elsewhere sell the figures? You had all the time in the world since TRU’s demise to figure out something? You do realize that Zuckuss is needed to complete the 6 inch bounty hunters and that collectors will be quite annoyed if they can’t get him?
All of the Shop Disney exclusives are live and available to order! Use THIS LINK to order them. Grab Zuckuss, Captain Phasma (Quicksilver Baton) and Stormtrooper (With Blast Accessories). We are excited to provide you with a first look sneak peek of the upcoming Disney Store exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ Zuckuss figure. This late Fall release started off life as a Toys R Us exclusive, but Disney Store has stepped up to the plate to offer this figure (in addition to many more) to collectors of the line. It will be interesting to see if Disney Store will successfully manager Hasbro exclusives. They’re not the most prevalent retail stores around, and if there isn’t a ton online, it’s going to be problematic. Zuckuss has turned out very nicely. We wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s perfect, but he does shine where he needs to shine. The sculpt and most of Zuckuss’ coloring is brilliant. We’re not too crazy with the soft-goods cloak. It seems like it has the wrong textures and finishes. However, it’s coloring is great. One setback is that the figure’s head is one piece with the backpack. So trying to remove the cloak is going to take some skill if it’s even possible. (We don’t know as we didn’t spend much time on that.) One last thought. Zuckuss should have never been an exclusive. Anyway, the review is around the corner, but check out our full high-resolution gallery by clicking through.
Gentle Giant’s January newsletter also revealed the 1:8th scale Collector’s Gallery Zuckuss Statue. Click through to pre-order.
Good friend and JTA reader Josh Makison has gifted me another incredible item after I drooled over the one he made for himself (as we highlighted here recently). Knowing my love for the Disney Parks 4-LOM sculpt, Josh went above and beyond and also customized a vintage Kenner Zuckuss figure for me by repainting the BAD sculpt and placing it on mock vintage Kenner card back. Hasbro – please pay close attention. You need to get this sculpt into the Hasbro line and do the same EXACT thing. It’s the most screen accurate sculpt of this character to date. We still need a TVC 4-LOM (update) and Zuckuss (first time offering) and this is the only way to do 4-LOM (vintage Zuckuss) in my opinion. Thank you!
