With special thanks to JTA reader coreworld, we have a first look at the Walmart exclusive Jabbas Palace Adventure set. It looks fantastic. Sadly, Han Solo did not receive “photorealistic” technology. That is a huge disappointment, but he looks worlds better than the TBS [P2] release. Click the images below to check it out. And leave your thoughts in our comments!

With a full cast narrating this new audio production, this could harken back to the old Audio Drama’s from the ’80s. Full details by the official Del Rey page:
Star Wars Dooku: Jedi Lost, our first audio original production. Written by Cavan Scott, it follows the tale of Sith Apprentice, Asajj Ventress as she takes on a mission to uncover the secrets of her master Count Dooku.
Narrated by Marc Thompson with other vocal performances by a full cast, the recording promises to deliver an epic exploration of a new chapter in Dooku’s story.
It is an audio-only project (for now), but if you’ve never stepped into a Star Wars audiobook, this is a great place to start.
Preorder on audio platforms will be up soon, the audio is on sale April 30th, in just 1 month.

Today I want to revisit a topic I talked about here on JTA several months ago: the pillars of the Star Wars franchise and the importance of collectors, and especially hardcore collectors, for the overall financial success of Star Wars. As you may remember, the article from 2018 showed that more than 45% of the alltime Star Wars revenue was made with toys. Today I want to better quantify the importance of hardcore collectors and why neither Hasbro nor Disney can afford to ignore them. So click through for an explanation as to why exactly hardcore collectors are so important.

Holy cow. The former Toys R Us exclusive C-3PO/R2-D2 Force Link 2.0 pack that was saved by Entertainment Earth is now canceled. eBay might be your only option for this at this point. This is a shame because it is the most beautiful thing in the entire Solo line. Thanks to JTA reader and friend Josh M. for the alert.
UPDATE: This item is also available on Amazon for $14.99 Prime

Cutting edge minting techniques create the Ultra High Relief which allows the image to rise much higher than the face of the coin – creating a striking image of the Millennium Falcon taking flight. Not only does this process add more depth to the coin’s design, but it also adds a deeper, brighter luster, ensuring every millimeter of the intricate design shines through.

In case you missed it, we’ve added a new and vital category to The Vintage Collection figures’ Collector Notes. Right now, this new addition to the RDRs focuses on the figures Hasbro is reissuing and updating in the secondary phase of the line. Just like the vintage Kenner lines, figures are released on multiple card backs. We want to carry the importance of these figures’ packaging forward into TVC too. Many figures have received multiple card back releases already, so it’s time to start documenting them. You’ll now see under Collector Notes a Packaging Details section which highlights all of the card back variations that exist for the figure at hand, including assortment numbers, UPCs and the original MSRP and release date. It functions as a miniature gallery. We hope this new tool helps you with your collecting needs: Search wave 1 and wave 3 figures for the updated reissues.

If you think that the updated “photorealistic” technology is the only thing that sets apart the 2019 version of Princess Leia Organa (Hoth) (VC02) from the original 2010 release, you’re in for some surprises. Almost a full decade sets the figures apart from each other, and there is more you need to know.
Princess Leia Organa (Hoth) (VC02) is another popular review in our RDRs. We’ve spent hours updating the Photo Gallery (which now sports 60 images and a wealth of comparison shots), updating text and new Editor’s and Collector Notes and now Packaging Variations! These reviews are updated to educate you on all the newness this figure brings to the table. Click the image below for the full experience! Make sure you’re aware of all of the changes!
