Update: They are now officially sold out!
PSWCS.org, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS), is excited to announce their 10th charity medallion in support of Valhalla Veteran’s Services.
Entertainment Earth, a huge distributor of Hasbro Star Wars and a carrier of Hasbro Star Wars exclusives, posted an informal poll on their Facebook page. (The Vintage Collection or The Black Series?) The results, despite a small sampling so far, overwhelmingly lean one way, and probably not the way you think. Check it out. Hasbro should check it out too.
JTA is walking arm in arm and side by side with our very close friends at Bantha Skull to preserve any hope possible for the betterment of The Vintage Collection. Please let Hasbro know via social media and email, respectfully, that you demand more for this classic collection of Star Wars action figures. Let the campaign begin! #FightForTVC. JTA led the campaign for the relaunch of TVC, and it was successful as it came to fruition in 2017. If we all successfully worked together to do that, we certainly can do it again to get the figures we want! Hasbro Pulse Instagram: HERE. Hasbro Pulse Facebook HERE. Hasbro Twitter: HERE. Online Consumer Care HERE. Use #FightForTVC everywhere you reach out.
This is incredible news! My good friend Jimmy Mac from Rebel Force Radio is part of the next episode of Collector’s Call featuring host Lisa Whelchel (actress from The Facts Of Life, a competitor on Survivor).
Next time on Collector’s Call: ”Meet Eric Pfeifer.” After his first viewing as a child, Eric Pfeifer began collecting everything related to Star Wars. Now his collection is so vast — covering both floors of his house as well as its basement — that he holds regular “Pfeifer-Cons,” drawing people from near and far to come and view it. Eric is joined by his mom, Connie, who has nurtured his collection over the years. See the preview by clicking the image below!
It is time to become more active and show Hasbro that there is support and love for the 3.75″ line. Let’s no longer wait for Hasbro to announce the product but get involved! Kenner started it all in the 70s with the 3.75″ line, and this is still what most fans want to collect. However, we see a lot of re-issues, but there could be done a lot more to keep capturing the magic of Star Wars and keep collecting alive.
Rogue One is one of the fans’ favorite movies but didn’t see too much love yet in terms of products. General Merrick participated in the Alliance’s acquisition of the Galactic Empire’s plans to their ultimate weapon, the Death Star, in the Battle of Scarif, flying as leader of Blue Squadron in a T-65B X-Wing Starfighter.
The blue squadron is missing in the lineup of Hasbro’s X-Wings. Show your support and sign this petition to have Hasbro produce Merrick and his X-Wing in The Vintage Collection line. Hasbro should produce Merrick in The Vintage Collection packaging, and they should either include him carded with the X-Wing as they did with Jabba’s Palace, or produce both separately boxed and carded.
May the Force be with us.

Disney+’s The Mandalorian is killing it in the initial rating. Be sure you’re not missing out on this streaming series. If you’re not one of the many enjoying it, you can still take advantage of a 7-day free trial to check out the first three episodes (plus the 4th this Friday). Click here to start your free trial!
The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan) figure is the Deal of the Day today! $13.99. Special thanks to JTA reader Michael L. for the alert!
UPDATE: Lando Calrissian (Skif Guard) is also on sale.
Over the weekend, I chatted with my former best pal Chris Swanski (from BanthaSkull.com) via text. I decided I couldn’t be friends with him anymore after he wouldn’t shut up giving glorious praise for The Vintage Collection Death Star Gunner (VC147) figure. I tried to enlighten him by going through all of the talking points about what’s wrong with this figure, but he just kept texting back in all caps “I LOVE IT!” So, it’s time for us to move on now. Hey Chris, if you’re OK with the Death Star Gunner’s “snorkel-for-an-antenna” then I expect a full redaction on your opinions of the horrifying lightsaber-launching R2-D2 from 1998!
Egregiously out of scale proportions seemingly don’t faze Chris.
It looks like Amazon has gotten their stock of the newest wave of The Vintage Collection. You can find Chewbacca, Lando, Phasma, and the Praetorian Guard as well as the repack wave all for retail price ($12.99). However, it would seem they are having some difficulty keeping enough VC140 Stormtroopers in stock to meet the demand. That’s caused the price to soar up to $23+. Yikes! Luckily you can still pre-order the best stormtrooper figure ever for $13.99 at Entertainment Earth.
Amazon is canceling a ton of orders for the latest The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures. Did yours get canceled too? Mine did! If they did get canceled, Walmart is still offering them for the lowest price online (17.97 each). Check to see what’s available by clicking HERE.
JTA sponsor Entertainment Earth has listed The Vintage Collection wave 21 for pre-order (finally) with May availability!
The Vintage Collection repacks with new “photorealistic” deco are BACK IN STOCK at Amazon!
UPDATE: All sold out at $12.99 each.
Our friends over at Fanthatracks are giving away a Sail Barge. While you can enter from anywhere in the world, they will only ship to a UK address. Click through for full details (and restrictions).
It’s not as cheap as the first time, but still significantly lower in price! Amazon has listed the Hyper Real Darth Vader for $56 and change with Prime. Hurry! Thanks to JTA reader Floyd for the alert!
We were devastated to learn that the greatest Star Wars collecting podcast ever has decided to close its doors. Our friends Criz B. from Jedi Business and Jake from From 4-LOM To Zuckuss are moving onto other projects. But their popular Toy Run Action Figure Podcast ending is a huge loss. See their announcement on Facebook. We wish you guys the best of luck and look forward to your future endeavors. Please always know your high-quality show was unparalleled.
If you missed out on this item on eBay, the same seller has non-damaged versions of it for only $149.99 on Amazon and with Prime. Thanks to JTA reader Germinator for the alert!
We want to wish our terrific friends at Bantha Skull a Happy 10-Year Anniversary! We’re honored to count you as friends!
Our friend and yours, Victoria, from Victoria’s Cantina, has put together a little op-ed about where we are as collectors, primarily with Hasbro. Click through for more.
In this episode of the Cantina Chatter Podcast, Victoria and her guests discuss a topic that is often ignored: Why we collect toys. Erin of Toy Shelf Review, JC of Jurassic Collectables, Paul Harrison of Jedi Temple Archives, and Jay C of Toy News International join her.
BigBadToyStore.com has put two walmart exclusives up for pre-order at low prices. The Black Series 3.75″ AT-ST Walker for only $24.99 and the Smart R2-D2 for $29.99! These are great prices, especially since a LOT of Walmarts haven’t even marked down their AT-ST’s at all.
Our friends at Fantha Tracks have put together a fantastic article that focuses on the advertising of Star Wars toys through comic books, specifically in the UK. They go into history and cite some pretty amazing examples of how the brand was sold to kids back in the day. It’s definitely worth check out. Don’t forget to come back here to talk about it!!
If you haven’t checked out the brand new site Fantha Tracks, make sure to stop by and have a look! Started by good friends Mark Newbold, Brian Cameron, and Matt Booker, formerly of Jedi News, they look to bring general Star Wars news to all fans. Click through to check out their official launch press release…
Check out Episode #81 of the Toy Run: The Star Wars Action FIgure Cast where I was invited by my friends Criz Bee (of JediBusiness.com) and Jake Stevens (4lomkuss.com) to talk about the Hasbro roundtable discussion about The Vintage Collection from NYCC in addition to many other things, like Steve Evans, Design Director for Hasbro, for example.
