We’re catching up on TVC reissues! The Return Of The Jedi Saelt-Marae reissue doesn’t look all that different from its original release. However, there are some changes here. This figure also has the distinction of being the only TVC 2.0 figure that received a re-release. Hasbro got it out to collectors again to celebrate Return Of The Jedi 40. Although Hasbro fixed the mismatched knee and ankle joints, they messed up the deco on the head sculpt. It is now too flat and much darker. They should have lightened this action figure’s skin color many shades instead. The revised paint operations look excellent, and this time Hasbro remedied the mismatched elbow and ankle joints. Hasbro also worked in a half-toning wash on the arms and torso. We’re catching up on TVC reissues! The Return Of The Jedi Wooof figure reissue looks remarkable. The revised paint operations look excellent, and this time the skin is bright green. Hasbro also changed other details on the figure, including half-toning deco on the legs. The 6-inch Rebel Commando is laughably expensive but a beautiful figure nonetheless. Check it out along with the “Nik Sant” interchangeable faceplate. (more….)

The Return Of The Jedi Weequay figure reissue looks fantastic. It took Hasbro long enough to get it out to collectors again, but the revised paint operations are a marked improvement. Most importantly, they fixed the mismatched ankle and knee joints. But they also changed the colors. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 60-image gallery complete with comparison shots and a breakdown of what separates the 2012 version from the 2023 new release in the Collector Notes. Today marks the official 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. Did you see it in theaters on May 25, 1983? If you did then you are as old as me. Did you manage to snag this classic poster from the Fan Club when it was only $10? I passed on it because as a 12-year-old I had no such thing as money. I did manage to see it on opening day at Showcase Cinemas in Louisville, KY… the same theater I saw Star Wars at. Sadly, Showcase Cinemas was wiped from the earth in 2010. But, it was always ‘the theater’ to go to during the Original Trilogy release!

Following up the amazing The Empire Strikes Back release, the Limited Edition Return of the Jedi 40th-anniversary screen prints by  Matt Ferguson are now on sale over at Bottleneck Gallery. You have until Sunday, May 7th at 11:59 pm Eastern to order either of the timed-release versions, but if you want the variant version you’d better get that now. They are very limited. Last time, The Empire Strikes Back variants sold out very fast. The edition size for the regular versions will be determined after the sale period ends.

It’s the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, and Matt Ferguson has again made a beautiful poster to celebrate the event! For this release, Matt’s following up with the same style as his The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary poster. Hopefully, we will be seeing the full DS version of this poster on Disney Movie Insiders soon!

Fans attending the 40 Years of Return of the Jedi panel yesterday at Star Wars Celebration were treated with a 13×19 version of this poster on their way out. 

Return of the Jedi will also be heading back to select theaters starting on April 28th. Read about that and more at Starwars.com.
