What Do You Do With Your Black Series Boxes And Vintage Collection Cards?

My question today is very simple: what do you do with your Black Series boxes, TVC vehicle boxes and vintage cardbacks? Do you keep everything? Do you dispose of them? Click through for a short discussion!

A typical TBS box and TVC cardback

I had to move recently and therefore had to make a decision about my countless Black Series boxes. I have most of the exclusives and almost all basic releases (I never bought TLJ Rey and Kylo because SH Figuarts had much better versions), so that means I had a lot of boxes, almost everything since 2013. In the end I decided that I don’t really need many of the boxes, so I only kept the boxes that still have some accessories inside of them (think Chopper, the Amazon Palaptine exclusive etc.) and things like SDCC exclusives, the SDCC Landspeeder box is really nice and I was not ready to dispose of it even if it’s empty. I also kept the orange and blue line.

In the end I kept about 60% of my boxes or so. Which is probably still too much, especially the basic red boxes are pretty much useless to me, when I am honest, most of them only have one extra blaster inside or maybe an officer’s cap (General Veers wears his helmet in my display). Ziplocs would probably be a more efficient way of storing these things.
Everything else ended up in the trash. Even TBS Vintage cards. Because, quite frankly, I never looked at them anyway, so why keep them? Also, I will never sell my figures, therefore I don’t need the TBS boxes for that.

What about you? Do you keep TBS boxes and TVC boxes (even for large vehicles) / cardbacks? No matter the size? Do you treat your boxes / vintage cards like collectibles or are you an opener who doesn’t care about the box or card? Do you keep everything or only a select few things? And if you keep your boxes/cards… do you actually look at them from time to time or do you keep them just because?
I did keep all of my SHF boxes for example, Not only do they have lots of accessories inside and the boxes are a good place to store them, they also look nice, if you ask me. I relegated all my remaining TBS boxes to the attic (I now have an attic), but the SHF boxes are still on a shelf. They all have a full color photo of the figure on the spine and it looks really good when displayed on a shelf. It’s more interesting than seeing a wall of red TBS boxes.

So let’s hear from you, how do you deal with the staggering number of boxes and cardbacks that can accumulate over the years?
