This distinctive collection features premium deco applications inspired by the end credit images from The Mandalorian, plus a collectible Galactic Credit accessory. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, usage of their form of money, Imperial Credits, became less common, with many planets refusing payments in the currency on principle.

The Black Series “Credit Collection” isn’t universally appreciated by everyone who collects Star Wars action figures. But the line is back again for 2022, and the colorful arrangement of action figures is something that all collectors can admit are colorful additions to the line. With supply chain delays and issues, products from Hasbro are arriving all over the map. But in early 2022, Hasbro managed to get the remaining figures in the sub-line out to the various retailers who own them as their exclusives. Greef Karga, from the Credit Collection, is the final figure from the line based on the concept art that runs during the end credits of The Mandalorian. The figure is brighter than the artwork, a trend in this line for one reason or another, but it does capture the look and feel of a Star Wars character not yet finalized. Hasbro loves to repaint their action figures to save on tooling costs, so it’s likely we could expect another wave of Credit Collection action figures in the coming year or years. The Greef Karga “Credit Collection” action figure offers collectors an artistic take at a revered character from the Disney+ series. Many 6-inch collectors complain about the constant repaints in the line of late, but we must confess that we now find charm in these action figures.

Greef Karga falls somewhere between being an A or B character, but Hasbro’s already developed four action figures for the character (this one included). That’s too many, in our opinion. With so many Original Trilogy characters unproduced, why do we have four versions of the same character? That isn’t balancing the line well. Regardless, Hasbro produced an excellent 6” Greef Karga action figure, and they repainted it for the Credit Collection version. Greef Karga comes with an incredible articulation system, but it’s not going to impress you if you’ve been collecting Hasbro’s action figures over the past couple of years. Thanks to the articulation Hasbro gave it, the figure moves well, and the figure has excellent balance and weightiness in all the needed spots to help you pose the figure in some action-oriented poses. The costume design is intricate and contains many details from the on-screen costume. And the figure comes with a molded overcoat that comes off if you’re patient enough to pose the figure in unnatural ways to remove it. Once removed, it offers Greef Karga a different look for optional display, and you get to see the additional colorful details underneath the cape. Hasbro ensured every part of the figure received these bright colors.

Greef Karga comes with two blaster pistols, and both of them have homes in the holsters hanging from the belt. The overcoat hides the right one when worn. Astonishingly, the action figure’s head sculpt is a dead ringer for actor Carl Weathers. Hasbro captured every essential and subtle detail of the actor with this figure. There isn’t too much difference between the original version and the Credit Collection update. We’re not sure if they nailed the skin tone perfectly, but we think it’s an admirable effort. Besides, different lighting gives all of our respective skin tones varying shades of color. The eyes, the nose, and the mouth of the figure are incredible. It’s impressive how far Hasbro has come with human likenesses in the 6” basic figure. We remember the line’s early days where the more extensive scale accentuated facial deco problems. Now, the opposite is true. Greef Karga may not have the notoriety of The Mandalorian, IG-11, or perhaps Kuiil, for that matter. Still, we’re happy to see Hasbro not holding back on the characters they decide to produce for the 6” line. And The Vintage Collection version of Greef Karga is also a highlight of the line. We’re curious if Hasbro will create another wave of these figures, but only time will tell.
