It was a guarantee that if Hasbro made a series of Retro Collection based on The Mandalorian, we would receive The Child as part of the mix. The sad thing is that the Retro Collection version and The Vintage Collection version do not vary much from one another, save for the paint operation differences and a couple of articulation points. But the Retro Collection The Child turned out well and complemented the line beautifully. Hasbro also added a multi-part pram which included based, post, and top and bottom. The Child figures perfectly inside of it. You also get one of The Child’s meals: a green frog. It’s a different sculpt than the ones we’ve seen previously, and it’s another excellent accessory for this action figure. The Child comes with simple paint operations to imitate the action figures from the Kenner era. Oh, and the packaging is better than The Vintage Collection The Child (VC184) release as it’s not blurry this time. Collectors will fall in love with The Child Retro Collection figure. It’s cute, it is kitschy, and it’s part of a well-loved series called The Mandalorian.
