Boba Fett (Dune Sea) is the Retro Collection take on The Vintage Collection’s Boba Fett (Tusken) (VC285) figure (as well as The Black Series Boba Fett (Tython) (TM16) figure), and we prefer the name to the Retro Collection figure over the TVC version. Both figures provide collectors with a Tatooine desert version of the notorious bounty hunter while giving the character’s best Uncle Fester interpretation, or as we like to say, Uncle Fettster. The Retro Collection isn’t for everyone, so Boba Fett (Dune Sea) might appeal to even fewer people since it’s not necessarily a “cool-looking” version of the classic bounty hunter. Then again, it’s interesting to see Boba Fett with various gear typically used by the Tusken Warriors. It’s mostly true that Star Wars fans didn’t want to see Boba Fett as old, worn, and overweight. But Star Wars has become a shell of what it once was, and we get mediocre action figures because of it. Hasbro used a dark brown fabric to make the figure’s outer cloak. The rest of the action figures copy what we see in the television series as best as possible in a simple format like the Retro Collection. Hasbro also included a gaderffi stick and a sniper rifle. We miss out on the blaster pistol this time around. For what this figure is, it meets expectations. But we don’t anticipate it being a runaway hit.
