Ten years after the fight to save Naboo from invasion, the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. Under the leadership of a renegade Jedi, thousands of solar systems threaten to secede from the Galactic Republic. A courageous Jedi Knight, his impulsive and headstrong apprentice, and a queen-turned-senator are drawn into the heart of the conflict... and the beginning of war.

A renegade Jedi and master swordsman, Count Dooku is a powerful leader. Known throughout the galaxy as a political idealist, the once prominent Jedi became disillusioned with the Republic and felt that the Jedi betrayed the Jedi Order and disappeared for nearly ten years before recently emerging as leader of the Separatist movement.

If there is one 12 Inch Figure by Hasbro that will stand the test of time, it is Count Dooku. Right from the start, Hasbro tooled an incredible likeness of the new villain in the Star Wars saga. Part of the Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones storyline, Count Dooku is the renegade former Jedi that betrays the Jedi and becomes a Separatist. This dark character is already a fan favorite and his battle with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda proved to be some of the most exciting lightsaber duels of all time. While Hasbro produced plenty of 3.75” scaled Count Dooku action figures in the Star Wars “Saga” line, the 12 Inch Figure stands out as a significant accomplishment in so many ways. The 12 Inch Figure line isn’t for everyone, but Hasbro refined their approach to the production of these figures, and they’re looking better than ever. Let’s take a close look at why Count Dooku is a significant stride forward in this collectible format.

Count Dooku may utilize the existing buck of previous 12 Inch Figures, but the way they dress up Count Dooku hides the fact that most of the figure was used in the past. Count Dooku comes with a fabricated shirt, pants, and cape. Hasbro added a plastic clasp to the cape which makes taking it off and on very simple. Also, the cape is pleated thanks to carefully added stitching. While you should remove the stitching, we think the figure looks nicer and more streamlined if you choose to leave it there instead. Hasbro also added snaps to the top right of Count Dooku’s shirt. It has a “Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)” feel about it, and we appreciate the extra effort. Count Dooku also comes with a left and right boot cast in plastic in addition to a lightsaber hilt and a lightsaber blade. All of the figure’s components are designed very nicely and work together beautifully to create the final result that Count Dooku is.

We’d like to return to a previous detail and better describe Count Dooku’s portrait/head sculpt The figure’s head sculpt design is nothing short of amazing. When you work with a larger scaled figure, you can get so much more detail added that isn’t possible in smaller scales, like 3.75” action figures. The Count Dooku 12 Inch Figure is a perfect replica of the on-screen character. The expression on his face is perfect. You don’t know if he’s plotting against the Jedi or getting ready to engage them in a lightsaber duel. Again, we’re thoroughly impressed with how ell this figure turned out. Count Dooku’s articulation is also a step up from previous figures. In addition to the standard body articulation, Hasbro added hinge-jointed figures, which incredibly helps with Count Dooku’s ability to hold the lightsaber as needed for his many battles. Overall, we’re thoroughly impressed with Count Dooku, and we know he’ll hold up well throughout the years.
