Hasbro Pulse Con 2024 Livestream: The Black Series Reveals

Several all new figures were revealed for The Black Series at PulseCon today!

  • Prince Xizor
  • Clone Commander Bacara
  • BX Commando Droid
  • Dagan Gera (Jedi Survivor)
  • Luke Skywalker (Farmboy)
  • Princess Leia (A New Hope)
  • Armorer Roleplay helmet

Luke and Leia are brand new figures!

Xizor, Bacara, the Commando Droid and Armorer helmet go up for pre-order today, 4 pm ET for Pulse Premium members, 5 pm ET for everyone else! Release is in spring 2025! They are fan channel / Amazon / Pulse exclusives.

Dagan Gera, Luke and Leia go up for pre-order on September 18th at 1pm ET, so not today!

It’s interesting that nothing was revealed for Star Wars Outlaws, but that instead a figure for now 17 month old Survivor was revealed.

UPDATED: Photos of the figures added! Click through for the pictures!

Here’s a closer look at Prince Xizor, he’s an all new figure!

All new

Clone Commander Bacara… yet another clone. But clones are usually pretty popular. And easy to make.

More clones

A brand new Commando Droid!

Calling it now, this will be slightly modified for an eventual reveal of ND-5 from Outlaws

Jedi Survivor gets a brand new figure, Dagan Gera looks fine. But why Hasbro revealed a new gaming figure based on Survivor today and NOT on Outlaws, and here the main character Kay with her trusty pet Nix is just puzzling.

They should have included his force projection arm too

Finally Black Series gets a decent looking Farmboy Luke, Hasbro basically copy pasted the SHF figure and wisely opted for a plastic tunic this time, the soft goods used on the old figure just looked terrible.

Finally a good TBS Farmboy Luke

And Hasbro also basically copy pasted SHF Princess Leia and the new version now has plastic robes too, because they just offer so much better aesthetics. The hood comes with two options, hood up or down.

Finally TBS catches up to SHF with two of the most essential Star Wars characters from A New Hope

The Armorer helmet received some weathering but depending on how tall you are the helmet can look comically oversized. This is Armorer actress Emily Swallows showcasing the helmet in a prerecorded segment. And the helmet looks comically huge on her. Of course it has to fit all kinds of heads, the show helmet was custom fitted, which the toy can’t be.

Big head syndrome

And that’s it!

What is your opinion? Luke and Leia finally look good, it took Hasbro long enough! Xizor looks also fantastic and the Commando Droid is another welcome addition. Degan Gera looks fine but he’s such a non character really in the game (and not really even THE villain) that I truly wonder why Hasbro chose to reveal him today, instead of at least Kay/Nix and ND-5 for Star Wars Outlaws.
