The Force Among Us shows that no matter how diverse fans are from each other, Star Wars is one thing that brings them all together. It is also the first film to look at Star Wars fans from around the globe after all six movies were released.
The film is an emotional journey letting the fans tell their own story. It also explores political, religious, and competitive controversies in the Star Wars community. The film includes rare interviews with Dan Madsen, former Star Wars Fan Club President, Dustin Roberts, the current Star Wars Fan Club President, members of the 501st, a Star Wars costume organization, Dick Staub, author of Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters, and Patrick Read Johnson, director of 5/25/77.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, the Film was intended for both the Star Wars fans and the general public. It is an informative documentary about who Star Wars fans truly are: wonderfully different from the stereotypical fan. It is a story about real people with passion, the ones that have "Built the Empire" and made the Saga become a legendary success: the fans.
The film will be released independently on May 25th through the films website theforceamongus.com.
