What's In The Box? Star Wars Limited Edition Crate Hands-On Look

Posted by Chuck | February 06, 2016 at 01:15 PM ET

The Star Wars themed Limited Edition Loot Crate is starting to arrive. Click through to take a hands-on look at what you can expect from this gigantic-sized edition. And, you can still order this right here.

Touted as Loot Crate's biggest crate ever, this Star Wars themed super crate is packed full of an assortment of Star Wars themed goodies sure to delight any fan, causal or hardcore. But is it worth the $100 price tag? If you consider the value of each item included, then definitely so. But, is everything in this crate something that you would actually want? That is really in the eye of the beholder. The good news is we are here to show you everything included so you can make your own decision. These are still available on Loot Crate's web site, so you can still pick it up.

This crate includes 5 items that are exclusive to Loot Crate, and these items alone are a pretty cool addition. These include an AT-AT Walker Pom beanie hat, Star Wars Jacquard Knit Scarf, Vader Down #1 Loot Crate variant comic book, Rebel Alliance gadget pouch, and a BB-8 Raglan long-sleeve tee.

The remaining 'common' items in the crate are hit and miss as value-added items. You get an ceramic mug (1 of 3, randomly inserted), a Little Golden Books set featuring all 6 movies, a Pop Taters Darth Vader Mr. Potato Head, and a Kylo Ren command Shuttle 3D Metal Model kit. These items are not bad additions, and present a nice random selection of merchandise. I would have preferred to have the ability to select the mug I wanted, because the BB-8 mug certainly looks cool (I received the Kylo Ren mug, which would have been my second choice). I could have done without the Little Tikes book set since I no longer have young padawans, so that set and Mr. Potato Head were immediately shipped off to my nieces and nephews, who will enjoy these as they are meant to be enjoyed!

Along with this collection of loot, 20 lucky recipients will get a randomly inserted Funko Hikari K-3PO/E-3PO Limited Edition Collectible figure. I was not one of those lucky recipients. This would have definitely put this crate above and beyond.

I'm a big fan of pop culture Star Wars goodies, so the hat, scarf, shirt, and bag were welcome additions and will be put to good use!

This Loot Crate can be ordered right here if, now that you've seen all you get, you still want to pick this up (just choose 'Star Wars' frome the 'Pick A Crate' dropdown menu)!
