SWCA: It's A Wrap!

Posted by Chuck | April 20, 2015 at 03:17 PM ET

While sitting here waiting for my flight to leave LA I thought this would be a perfect time to detox and wrap up the main portion of our coverage! First off a big thanks to Paul for working the homefront and getting the galleries up and posted! While I had my boots on the ground he was pushing pictures through as fast as possible! (more...)

Also, please take a moment to visit and thank our sponsor Brian's Toys! Without their help we would not have been able to cover as much as we did. Their sponsorship of our coverage was a huge help!

As usual, Celebration was hectic, crazy, overwhelming, tiresome, and spectacular all at the same time! I had a chance to meet tons of JTA viewers and fans face-to-face, which is what these conventions should be for! While I worked our The Force United booth at certain times each day, I also roamed the floor as both a site news reporter and crazy obsessed fan at the same time. With so many people attending the show I was amazed at how many I randomly ran into around the convention center.

As having attended (and covered) five of the six U.S. Celebrations to-date, I can say that this one was one of, if not the, best so far. The amount of material they revealed to fans was almost mind-meltdown awesome!l Never have we had the pleasure of enjoying not one but two trailers from TWO movies at the same time! Not to mention the amazing Star War Rebels and Battlefront trailers we saw!

I was also amazed and honored at how well our exclusive give-aways went over! Our posters were THE most asked about things at our booth all 4 days! Other members of TFU constantly fielded questions (Thank you!) about when the day's giveaway was going to happen. On Friday we had so many people lined up that I had to hand out tickets 30 minutes early so those that were beyond the limit wouldn't have to waste their time! It was an amazing response! One gentleman came to stand in line 90 minutes early! I just gave him a poster because of his dedication so he didn't have to wait!

Our exclusive patch was another surpise hit! During the patch trading on the last day I was trying to pick up some pieces of the Vader case puzzle set that I was missing and traded him one of the JTA patches for one piece. He asked if I had any more to trade for more because the JTA patch is always the first one he trades away when people come looking!

I'll wrap for now, but lastly don't forget to check out some of our The Force United partners (Jedi News, Jedi Business), as well as Kevin from Big Kev's Geek Stuff for their coverage too. It was a blast hanging around with all of them! Not that you could tell from the pictures, but we had a blast just being silly Star Wars fans all week long! Cheers! Here's hoping I can pull together the resources to finally attend Celebration Europe!

If you stopped by the booth or attended the show we'd love to hear from you in our comments below!
