Post Your Questions To Hasbro And We Will Ask Them At NYCC!!

Posted by Paul | September 24, 2013 at 11:01 AM ET

We’re lucky if we even get a single opportunity per year to ask Hasbro the many burning questions collectors have about the Star Wars toy line anymore. But we may just have a good opportunity just around the corner at the NYCC Preview Party. Jedi Temple Archives will be in attendance and we will have our notepads and pencils at the ready addressing your questions. Please leave your questions in our comments in this article. But please keep in mind some important rules that will streamline the process for us, and ultimately give our readers the best coverage possible.

Please do not comment on someone else’s questions. If you do, we will have to delete any responses made to a question. Please show your support for the question with the up and down arrows only. “Up arrow” means you like the question. “Down arrow” means you don’t like it. Simple.

Please do not ask if Figure X is getting made. Those questions would be endless and eat up all of our time with Hasbro and they will not confirm or deny anything anyway. I will figure out how to cleverly elicit some figure details in a roundabout way. Please remain as sarcasm and nasty free as possible. We want to make head way with them, not kick them when they're down.

I will also be asking the following questions, so please don’t post these “again” in our comments: (more…)

  1. Are we any closer to The Vintage Collection returning?
  2. Can you explain as detailed as possible what happened to the separating card backs in The Black Series 3.75” line?
  3. Can we expect any more The Vintage Collection store/online exclusives in 2014?
  4. There are still Droid Factory figures that have yet to be confirmed for release like R5-X2 and R8-B7. Instead of trying to release them in a Build A Droid concept (with other “not needed” figures), can you release box sets exactly like the Naboo Starship Droids Discover The Force Battle Packs set that focus on FOUR droids from any of the six films, Expanded Universe or The Clone Wars source and release as a store exclusive? The Naboo Starship Droids set was a huge success and sold out before anything else in the entire The Phantom Menace 3D line.
  5. Do you have a confirmed update to how many figures will be part of The Black Series line?
  6. Once it’s time to change the line look again, will the 6” line remain The Black Series? Or will it follow in the same packaging design footsteps as the new line look?
  7. Are we any closer to seeing Yak Face and Ree-Yees released? We know you said you’d like to see them get released in The Vintage Collection when it returns, but we want them now and then you could package them again in the TVC line look when it returns and sell double the amount.
  8. Is the reduced articulation on the Saga Legends line paying off? Are they selling well for you?
  9. Aside from the Kmart Ewok Catapult set, you have been quiet about Ewoks lately. Do you have any great Ewok surprises forthcoming?
  10. Collectors are feeling alienated. Perhaps we don’t step up to the plate as much as our mouths complain, but if you look back and consider where we are now versus where we were just a few short years ago, we think some of the whining is justified. You have taken away/killed Comic Packs, Evolutions, Battle Packs, a collector-focused “back-up” army building line (super-articulated Saga Legends) amongst many other things? Do you see yourselves returning to any of these wonderful formats ever again?
  11. Would you consider developing an adult-collector focused Saga Legends line? Specifically, would you create a sub-line of action figures that have been impossible to find at retail, figures that would sell like mad (as evidenced by aftermarket prices) if you were to release them again. There are a ton of TVC figures, LC and TLC figures, figures from Battle Packs and Comic Packs that never made a huge splash at retail that could bring you healthy revenue while satiating adult collectors? The one new wave of half a dozen action figures you released already in the basic figure lineup just aren’t cutting it. We need to see something more exciting at retail again. If JTA hosted a poll and/or an event to give you a good baseline on what to release first, would that help you out?
  12. When the new line of figures from Episode VII get released, will you keep that line pure like you did for Episode I, or will you create a “saga” line that houses characters from all Star Wars sources?

Thank you for your support! Post away! (And you be nice!)
