Quick Q And A For Older Kmart Exclusives

I stopped into a local Kmart in hopes of finding Darth Malgus!!! only the leftovers plus Vader were left, however, there were two of these "Collectors tin" sets there!!! i have no clue how old these are, but I've been checking this store for a couple years and had never seen these until today!!! I didn't start collecting till the Vintage Collection came out, how old are these sets??? The other Tin set was from ROTS and contained Obi Wan, R2, Shock trooper, and Greivous!!! Took the ESB set to the register to check the price, these were ringing up for $33.43 nice sets but too expensive for my blood!!!

These were Kmart exclusives released during The Legacy Collection (blue phase) between 2008 and 2009. They were indeed very expensive. The sad thing that most collectors don't know is that Hasbro included some exclusive repaints in these sets (just a few so don't freak out). I actually own all of these sets but haven't found the appropriate time to add them into our RDRs. But I do find it interesting that they are still showing up after all of this time.
