Undead Geonosian warriors lurk in a vast underground hive. They are under the control of their queen, Karina the Great, who uses a green worm to bring dead Geonosians to life. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and a squad of clone troopers battle these mindless zombies to rescue Luminara Unduli from her Geonosian captors.

Nothing says “creepy” better than a little worm making dead Geonosian Warriors undead! And it’s creepier that Hasbro has one hanging out of the mouth of their Undead Geonosian action figure! It wasn’t the entire plot for the Legacy Of Terror episode of The Clone Wars, but it was the explanation on why these zombies were wreaking havoc on the Jedi, especially Luminara Unduli. And what you may or may not know is that Legacy Of Terror was the forth story in a five episode arc. The episode is a favorite by most viewers and we see most of the reasons why. It was startling, exciting and a big departure from all stories before (and after) it. We’re actually very surprised to see Hasbro make a “dead/undead” version of the Geonosian Warrior before the living, but that’s just us. But the great news is that the Undead Geonosian came out spectacularly and it makes us hanker for the living version because this Star Wars character looks incredible in the animated figure line. Loaded with tons of articulation and having a beautiful paint job (for something that dead and dreary), the Undead Geonosian is another exciting addition to The Clone Wars line.

So how does the Undead Geonosian look? It looks dead! Actually, it almost seems as if it could fit in the Michael Jackson Thriller music video just fine. Visibly “alive” and looking “good” (we are charitably saying this), the Undead Geonosian may not be the action figure you’ve wanted in your collections (like say a super-articulated clone trooper), but we have to admit that there is something very cool about him that will likely influence you to pick him up. The figure is super-articulated with nearly 100% ball-socket joints. This figure has a great deal of mobility, even with it’s backwards bent legs (like we have seen on 2007's TAC Voolvif Monn (30 58) for example). The figure is colored in a dark gray and has a heather to it. It has depth and texture and scores an “A” as far as we’re concerned for beautiful deco. It it loaded with parts (and we say parts before accessories because most of them are part of his anatomy. Included is a “wing plate” where four separately attaching wings (that look like they have been chewed and spit out) are able to be plugged in to complete the Undead Geonosian.

He also has a decorative chest plate with “horns” that is detachable as well. (We’re not exactly sure why Hasbro made this detachable because a large square hole is left is you decide to leave it off.) We also get an animated version of the sonic blaster we have seen many times in the realistic toy line. (It actually doesn’t look that different other than that it’s a lot smaller in The Clone Wars line.) Fans will be elated to know that the Undead Geonosian has been cast is a very stiff plastic. While it’s still pliable, we’re hoping that this figure will maintain its shape much better over time than those molded in the softer materials. The Clone Wars line keeps getting better and better and it’s really drawing more and more “older” (read: non-kids) collectors into it. It seems that Hasbro is remaining steadfast in crafted excellent action figures in this line to bring us the best action figures possible. We still want the same (and better) attention given to the figures in the realistic line, but it’s definitely exciting to get a figure like this done so well.
