In the World Between Worlds, Anakin Skywalker appears to his former Padawan Ahsoka Tano to teach her one last, crucial lesson.

It’s a shame that it took something from Disney Star Wars to give collectors a notably updated, and perhaps definitive, version of Anakin Skywalker from The Clone Wars. We all remember the friendly “Sky Guy” and “Snips” interaction Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano had between each other in The Clone Wars, and that’s been extrapolated a bit in the new Disney Star Wars series entitled Ahsoka. Many Star Wars fans haven’t seen the series because they kicked Disney Star Wars out of their lives, but at least Hasbro is making action figures based on these characters, where many are upgrades from the versions we got more than a decade ago. Take, for instance, Anakin Skywalker. The 2025 version truly enhances 2012’s TVC Anakin Skywalker (VC92) figure. Side by side, the figures look nearly identical to each other, save for the improvements made to the version 13 years newer. It’s a shame they had to place this on a card with the Ahsoka entertainment logo, but the figure itself is quite a feat. Hasbro makes collectors happy with this release, and we’re so glad to see it added to The Vintage Collection.

Anakin Skywalker is a mostly all-new figure. If you have the 2012 version, throwing it away in the garbage can would be best. The first release came with some enhanced articulation, but its most critical articulation points were flat planed (swivel) joints, allowing for only one direction of movement. Now, the 2025 release comes with all premium ball-jointed or ball-socket articulation. The way you’re able to pose this figure is nothing short of amazing. And while it may not have the ideal likeness you were hoping for, Hasbro did design a decent head sculpt of actor Hayden Christensen, and it does look like the on-screen character, albeit a little more cherubic than expected. The joints are tight but fluid and easily move while posing the figure. The incorporation of soft-goods parts, akin to what Hasbro did in 2012, doesn’t encumber any of the figure’s movement, and we think the cuts look excellent and create a beautiful drape for the action figure. We’re surprised that Hasbro approached this character this way, but it works. And we are excited about the results.

Collectors will have to celebrate the accomplishments brought forth on the figure alone because, once again, they held back on the accessories here. We get a fully lit lightsaber and a hilt (with a plug to secure the figure’s belt). These are two standard accessories for any character that’s a Jedi, so it’s no surprise we are getting them here. But it would be nice to see Hasbro think outside the box and give us an exclusive accessory from the Ahsoka or The Clone War series to keep things fresh and interesting. But that doesn’t appear to be our light in life with The Vintage Collection. Don’t miss out on this version of Anakin Skywalker. It’s a marvelous action figure that will look good in your collection of super-articulated 3.75-inch action figures. The latest technology Hasbro utilizes to produce action figures is astounding. We never believed we would see action figures in this scale turn out so well. The content is mostly garbage, but that doesn’t matter when Hasbro releases a stunning action figure like Anakin Skywalker. We hope they keep this trend up for the foreseeable future.
