Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Although it was an uphill battle for years, Hasbro didn’t start going the opposite way with articulation until 2013, 18 years after they released the first modern Star Wars figure line in 1995. But things aren’t as bright for The Black Series 6-inch line. We’re only a decade into the line, and Hasbro has already begun reducing articulation in their premium format. Things are not looking up for The Black Series 6-inch line. With many repacks and repaints, and now the beginning signs of a reduction in articulation, Marrok is evidence of a decline in the line. Not only are the swivel thighs eliminated, but the action figure feels hollow, and there is an emptiness inside the figure. That said, Marrok still looks like a remarkable action figure because Hasbro designed the figure well. They incorporated a soft-good cape to add texture to the action figure. The figure also comes with a half-ring hilt with a plug to attach it to the figure’s back. And we also get two removable lightsaber blades (red) to attack the hilt for various display options. Despite having limited articulation, you can easily pose Marrok in multiple options. The figure has an excellent center of gravity and looks incredible in action or static poses. Overall, we’re impressed with how well the figure turned out despite the changes in motion. But be advised, this figure looks and feels different from almost all other 6-inch figures before it. It has the hollowness of those “shampoo bottles” Hasbro released during the 5POA reign of hell and the beginnings of reduced articulation that we see continuing as we move forward into the future. But we wouldn’t assess the changes as limitations just yet. Hasbro made Marrok well and hasn’t allowed the differences to impede the line quality thus far.
