The adventure continues with this exciting introduction of exclusive figures from the Star Wars trilogy! Each figure is authentically styled with incredible detail and is fully poseable.

After making basic C-3PO and R2-D2 12 Inch Figures in the Collector Series and Action Collection lines, Kenner/Hasbro decided to upgrade them for the 1998 launch of the Action Collection line by including electronics C-3PO talks and his eyes light up after depressing a button on the back of his head. And one of R2-D2’s “eyes” lights up red when you depress a button on its dome. What’s more, Kenner/Hasbro added a stunning new paint job on each figure to recreate how they looked while walking the Tatooine desert in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Aside from the inclusion of electronics and new paint jobs, C-3PO and R2-D2 are relatively unchanged. They still feature the same articulation as their original sculpts. Released as a Toys R Us exclusive in the Fall of 1998, the set was an expensive purchase for the collecting era. It didn’t move that well and was found at other online retailers later at discounted prices. We feel the C-3PO (Electronic)/R2-D2 (Electronic)two-pack doesn’t get the attention it deserves. But we understand the reservations collectors had when this product was released.
