An extremely dangerous marauder, Enfys Nest is brutally carving out a nefarious reputation for herself and her gang of swoop-riding pirates, the Cloud-Riders.

There is a new villain in town, and her name is Enfys Nest. Now Hasbro has worked her into the 12-Inch Figure line with greater detail and additional articulation when compared to the pack-in figure that came with her swoop bike in the 5POA line. With each new Disney Star Wars film made, the director introduces a new antagonist, and with Solo: A Star Wars Story we have been introduced to a character that ends up becoming an early leader of the Rebel Alliance. Many believe that the less we know about a character, the better the character is. This is especially true of villains. The standalone films from Disney show us events that transpired in between the episodic stories. Some include our most beloved Star Wars characters, while others introduce an all-new cast. Solo: A Star Wars Story does both. The main villain, Enfys Nest has a strong Felucian look and feel in addition to a rugged Native American style. Hasbro hasn’t released Enfy Nest in the Star Wars [Solo] line as a basic figure yet, but she sure is getting a ton of attention elsewhere in their Star Wars toy line now.

Enfys Nest is a great-looking, albeit simple, 12-Inch Figure. She’s not necessarily simple in detail, but simple in articulation. The inclusion of swivel forearms allows her to utilize her staff more efficiently, but you can’t get any meaningful movement from them because her shoulders are swivel too. Enfys Nest is loaded with detail and comes with soft-goods to give her a more realistic look and feel. The cape isn’t made of quality material, but it works here. They added a nice amount of detail on her mask, but the Aurebesh isn’t colored, so that was a miss. (Hasbro tooled the language but ignored the paint to make it more visible.) Hasbro didn’t hold back any part of the color palette from what we can tell. And the figure has complex paint operations throughout its sculpt. Enfys Nest has Star Wars saga familiarity. And she also has strong The Force Unleashed qualities about her. It feels like parts of her were inspired by the Felucian Warriors in the game. She also has Mandalorian qualities as well. There is something very “tribal” about her look, outfit, and attitude that cannot escape this figure.

Enfys Nest also has “warrior” written all over her. In Solo: A Star Wars Story she was a force to be reckoned with, and the 12-Inch Figure brings this attitude home as well. Lovers of super-articulation and smaller scale will not be interested in this figure, but this line is performing well as Hasbro has continued it for a half a decade now. Refined collectors are much more eager for characters produced in The Vintage Collection and The Black Series 6” line. The Enfys Nest 12-Inch Figure is a pretty nice figure in this range. Like the 5POA line, Hasbro has come far in their one-sixth scale figures line. We’d love to see Hasbro return to the days of their Action Collection range, but that is highly unlikely at this point. It will be interesting to see ho many more characters Hasbro produces from Solo: A Star Wars Story in the 12-Inch Figures line. We can’t say that we’re huge fans of this format, but there is something endearing about them. These figures look like blown-up 3.75” 5POA figures. And this isn’t much different from what Gentle Giant Ltd. is doing with the Jumbo Vintage Kenner line.
