Darth Vader - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (ANH06)

The evergreen characters of Star Wars should remain evergreen in the basic figure line. So, it should be to no one’s surprise that we see another Darth Vader 6-inch figure, based on A New Hope, enter the line again. It must have started life as an exclusive, as evidenced by the single assortment number. Still, this one is a general release item, and it’s arriving in solid case assortments for apparent reasons. It makes the most sense to release an Original Trilogy Darth Vader action figure as a mainline release because it feels like there are never enough available on the shelves these days. Darth Vader is the ultimate villain in Star Wars, and for the population buying action figures, we can never have enough villains in the lineup. The sixth figure in the A New Hope series, Darth Vader, looks much like the figure from 2017’s TBS [AC] Legacy Pack, but we also see some subtle differences. Loaded with both ball-jointed and double hinge-jointed articulation, Darth Vader is easy to pose, attains engaging positions, and is appropriately balanced. The paint operations look fantastic on this figure, so it looks gorgeous amongst the other figures in your collection. Hasbro must release previously existing action figures into the line if they’re to make any progress in adding new additions to the numbered Star Wars sources. The mural built with the side of the box became another niche aspect of this 6-inch scaled action figure line, so collectors like to acquire full ranges of figures now to complete this. Darth Vader comes with a long, flowing cape and a lightsaber that breaks down into a hit and red blade. We believe this tooling for Darth Vader holds up well. And with little to no changes evident, we think Hasbro feels similarly.
