Hard-fighting patriot Jesse proudly wears the cog-shaped symbol of the Galactic Republic on his helmet. But after the execution of Order 66, Jesse displays blind loyalty to the Emperor.

Clone Commander Jesse is a retool of ARC Trooper Echo, and the latter uses the newest Clone Trooper tooling first introduced with 2020’s TBS [P4] Clone Trooper (Kamino) (TCW01) figure. They changed up the pauldron a bit but also used a different “bald” portrait and repainted it to give Jesse the unique markings on the head. The revised new layer of the chest is fitted to the torso. It’s immovable and provides a distinct look for the character. The pauldron, kama, and holster/belt combination parts outfit the character for ultimate screen accuracy. We’re happy that Hasbro recreated textures and designs faithful to the character’s appearance in The Clone Wars television series. The lower arms and legs work well for Jesse, too, and Hasbro repainted them to be screen-specific. Hasbro skimped on Clone Commander Jesse’s accessories. They included two DC-17 blaster pistols and a removable helmet with an articulated rangefinder. The blasters are gorgeously tooled and fit into the holsters like a glove. The figure also holds them well. Hasbro painted this figure beautifully and captured all of the detail and nuance of the on-screen character. The latest figures in The Black Series 6-inch line have incredible articulation systems. The same is true for this release, although the kama does inhibit some movement. Hasbro produced Clone Commander Jesse to help augment the range of characters from The Clone Wars while celebrating 20 years of the multimedia event. This action figure is nice, but it’s not noteworthy or spectacular. You might find it a little uninspiring. That said, it’s a Walmart exclusive and typically priced.
