Boba Fett - TBS [ROTJ40] - Six Inch Figures (Exclusive)

Wow. It’s $4 more than the first release. What in the world is happening in Rhode Island? The Black Series line is in disarray, and the figures are too expensive for collectors’ wallets. And while we all should expect repacked figures for The Black Series [Return Of The Jedi 40] lineup, it starts becoming egregious when a single-carded figure costs nearly double what it should. The Boba Fett figure based on Return of The Jedi turned out well. Despite some “squished” helmet issues on the original release, Hasbro appears to have remedied some of the problems present on the earlier figure and released a version that should appease all Star Wars collectors if you can get past the MSRP, that is. The 40th Anniversary Return Of The Jedi Boba Fett is a Fan Channel exclusive, probably the main reason Hasbro can scalp collectors with its cost. They faithfully included all of the accessories that came with the Deluxe version, but are all these pieces needed for a celebratory figure release? We feel they could have eliminated some extraneous accessories and lowered the price to $24.99, and all would be right in the world. The card is stunning for this Boba Fett 6-inch figure release. Hasbro copied the original vintage Kenner artwork, complete with “sketched” legs, and recreated the memories of a simpler time long ago. This release is for you if you’re into vintage Kenner-inspired packaging. But we’re not going to sugarcoat it. The price is a rip-off, and Hasbro should feel remorse and shame at this point. We hope more exciting things are released to commemorate the best Star Wars film of the entire saga. But knowing the current Hasbro Star Wars team, we’re not holding our breath.
