What's It Like In Your Neck Of The Woods?

In today's collecting age, store reports can vary from one extreme to another. There is absolutely nothing in the Philly area, yet JTA moderator Bombadgungan has found a plethors of stuff in his area. Click through for his full report!

Hi Paul

I know there have been a fair amount of disheartening reports going around in regard to Target's recent toy dept. resets and I just wanted to write in to share my own personal experience today.

Spurred on by Paul H (the lesser)'s Walmart store report and Gary H's notation that Target was resetting this week, I thought I'd take a chance and see what I could find.  I hit 3 Targets today and all had completed their toy dept. resets.  I found the same thing at each of those three Targets as far as planogram layout.  All three stores had:

  • 3 pegs for Saga Legends
  • 3 pegs for Mission Series
  • 2 pegs for TBS 3.75"
  • 2 pegs for TBS 6"
None of stores had stock on hand for MS or SL, but they all had a few TBS in both scales.  Better yet, most stores had Wave 2 of TBS (both scales) "lightly stocked".  For my efforts today I was able to score:

  • The Rise of Darth Vader Battle Pack ($14.98 Clearance)
  • TBS 3.75"
    • R2-D2 (x2)
    • Stormtrooper
    • Pablo Jill
    • Luminara Unduli
  • TBS 6"
    • Greedo
    • Slave Leia
More importantly, my own neighborhood Target which previously only had MS and TBS 6" in their planogram has now added both SL and TBS 3.75".  Yay!  No more running clear across town to look for those!

In addition to these Targets, I also made a stop at my local Toys R Us, to find that they had recently restocked MS and SL.  Sadly the MS was more Wave 1, but SL was a fresh case of Wave 2!  I scored myself a SL Boba Fett, but passed on the Stormtrooper since his helmet (specifically his eyes/lenses) were painted pretty wonky.  Better luck next time I suppose.  Anyway, a fantastic toy run today here in the Pacific Northwest.  :)
