The Mandalorian showed us that there are various tribes of the Tusken Raiders, and not all of them are standard for male and female roles. The Book Of Boba Fett introduces us to a more progressive Tusken Raider. A character referred to as an "unknown" Tusken Warrior is female and has a notable role in the Disney+ series. But what did that mean for Hasbro if they needed to produce a female Tusken Warrior that favors a more traditional male than a traditional female? They've dug deeply into their parts catalog and dusted off 2015's TBS [P3] Rey (Jakku) figure, a former Walmart exclusive. They've used the torso, cod section, arms, and upper legs of that figure while the rest of it is all-new. And, of course, they've repainted it in dark colors to be screen-accurate while attempting to hide the reuse of parts.

The Tusken Warrior isn't much more than an average action figure. It's not anything fantastic. And we'd say it is wonky. In particular, the reused arms from a near-decade-old Rey figure give the Tusken Warrior an odd, spindly, and skinny appearance. And the way the arm sticks out from the figure's sides is garish. Thankfully, that is the only area of the figure you find problematic. Although the all-new head sculpt looks good, it could use more deco and finesse. The soft goods look excellent too. This character is a perfect mesh between Luminara Unduli and a general Tusken Raider. It is a beautiful marriage of those two characters and fits nicely into the already existing Star Wars universe. Although 50% previously existing and 50% all-new, the legs look excellent as well and provide an excellent base for the figure.

The Tusken Warrior also lacks accessories. We get a modernized gaderffi stick and a removable shoulder armor piece. And that's it. With so much saved on tooling, they could have thrown a couple of other accessories here to make it feel like there's some value here. And unless Hasbro continues to produce other members of this Tusken clan, there may have been little reason for Hasbro to release this basic figure into the lineup. Let's face it. The Book Of Boba Fett was universally panned by those who still watch Disney Star Wars. There is no staying power with the stories and characters, and making collectibles based on something short-lived is as foolish as it is unresourceful. But if you like fleeting entertainment and its cast of characters, then the Tusken Warrior may be the perfect addition to your Star Wars collection.
