The Star Wars Retro Collection is inspired by the 1980s STAR WARS figures and features original figure design and detailing! Continue your collection from the galaxy far, far away!

We’ve said it a hundred times in these reviews: The Retro Collection isn’t for everyone. But we’re sure many collectors will make an exception to add Chopper (C1-10P) to their collections. Like the classic Kenner Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) and R5-D4 action figures, Hasbro similarly approached the Retro Collection Chopper (C1-10P) figure. The figure comes with a sticker that shows off its many panels, gears, and tools and adds color where it’s needed to give the action figure some character. But unlike the figures from the 70s, Hasbro also added a removable third leg (including an unmovable wheel) to imitate the onscreen character. You’ll laugh if you compare this figure to The Vintage Collection Chopper (C1-10P) (VC304) figure. Hasbro produced these, and they’re from different collectible universes. Chopper (C1-10P) also comes with a rotating dome and has a lot of detail there, perhaps more than anywhere else on the action figure. Chopper (C1-10P) also has legs of different colors, faithful to the character’s appearance. When posed with characters like Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Ahsoka Tano, the figure nicely rounds out the lineup for characters based on the Star Wars: Ahsoka Disney+ series. The Star Wars: Ahsoka wave of the Retro Collection has some disappointing additions, but the more colorful characters, like the females and droids, provide some depth and meaning to a mostly dull collection of action figures. Chopper (C1-10P) has more “Kenner” nostalgia than most Disney-fabricated Star Wars characters, so we’re destined to see this one remain the most popular. All we need now are some Retro Collection vehicles to augment the line, but it will be a cold day in hell before that happens.
