As a part of a Jedi rescue mission to Geonosis, Nautolan Jedi Knight Kit Fisto fought Separatist droids and saw the first shots fired in the Clone Wars.

What in the world happened to The Black Series [Phase III] 6” Kit Fisto (112) figure? We don’t know where to begin to pick it apart. But we know one thing. This new 6” action figure doesn’t come close to screen accuracy. Hasbro couldn’t tell if they were making a figure based on the character’s appearance from Episode II or Episode III. The head sculpt more closely resembled the shape of the character we see in Attack Of The Clones. But the coloring and detail (lie eye shape) more closely resemble the character from Revenge Of The Sith. And the tendrils are mirrored the Episode III version of Kit Fisto since they’re single, and not doubles as reflected on the Episode II version. This Attack Of The Clones wave of The Black Series [Phase III] 6” figures is lazy at best. Hasbro used mostly existing tooling to develop this wave of action figures. At first glance, they look rather impressive, but once you figure out how many details are incorrect or off, you feel that perhaps Hasbro should not have taken the easy way out when developing these figures. Kit Fisto is a figure in the 6” line we wanted to adore. But ultimately, it disappoints. The likeness of the head sculpt is all over the place. You don’t know whether to guess Episode II or Episode III when describing the character’s likeness. In other words, Hasbro should have studied the reference materials carefully, but this figure is an amalgamation of both versions of the Nautolan Jedi Master.

Kit Fisto is mostly based on 2019’s TBS [P3] Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan) (85) figure. For this release, Hasbro tooled an all-new “confusing” head sculpt and two new hands. Then they completely repainted the figure to try to match the coloring and style of Ki Fisto. If you compare the character’s likeness and outfit in Episode II and Episode III, you may be surprised by how many differences there are. From the different shapes of the heads to the tendrils hanging from the head to the color and style of the layered shirts, you’ll find there are more differences here that Hasbro needed to note before finalizing this figure. Overall, we’d say that Kit Fisto is a better match to the character seen in Revenge Of The Sith. Remember, there are so many errors in the head sculpt and costume that comparing this figure to the Episode III character is also a stretch. But that’s not all. There are other issues with Kit Fisto when it comes to the details of the Jedi’s costume. The boots and belt are wrong, and there is no neck collar. And Kit Fisto comes with the incorrect lightsaber hilt. And Kit Fisto is missing a ton of paint operations, especially if you look at the back of the figure’s head. The ties were left unpainted. As you can see, it would have behooved Hasbro to design an all-new figure for Kit Fisto. The costume is unique, and they can’t repaint there way out of it.

With a standard articulation system that comes with most other 6” figures, Kit Fisto has fluid movement, and you’ll achieve a wealth of poses. You might feel, however, that Kit Fisto comes with too few accessories. Also, the figure doesn’t have a soft-goods skirt under the molded robes, and this is problematic for many reasons, especially when it comes to posing the figure. Kit Fisto only comes with the lightsaber which breaks down into a hilt and blade/ But as we’ve mentioned earlier, Kit Fisto comes with the incorrect lightsaber hilt. How could Hasbro mess this up? AT least the figure comes with all-new hands that look like the shape and form of a Nautolan. Imagine if they had painted Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan) ’s hands green instead? For one reason or another, Kit Fisto and Plo Koon are the hot figures in this wave. We imagine that they’ll be easier to attain over time as demand gets filled, but for many, these two figures have become a chore to secure. Kit Fisto is one of our favorite Star Wars collectors. To say we’re disappointed with this figure is an understatement. Both Hasbro’s 2011 TVC Kit Fisto (VC29) figure and the Kit Fisto from the 2010 Legacy Collection Geonosis Arena Showdown (2 of 6) sets are both better and more accurate versions of Kit Fisto than The Black Series 6” version is. We vote that Hasbro revisits this figure and tweaks all of its errors. It’s a shame this figure got approved as it currently is.
