Hello Toy Runners, I’m pleased to join you again to discuss our recent toy finds! I took advantage of Migs Mayfield being on clearance at Target to build up my mudtrooper army. I also got the 332nd Clone Troopers from Amazon, and I took the opportunity to revisit my Captain Vaughn custom. Check it out!
Good evening Toy Runners! I hope your weekend was relaxing! The extra day off for Labor Day was certainly appreciated. I’m waiting on some TVC figures from Amazon, so no new figures for me this week, but I was able to add some new props to my small display shelf. They are made by Hammerhead Customs, a well known maker of 3d printed vintage figures. Take a look!
Now that I live farther from the city I don’t get to go toy hunting nearly as often. I stop at Target near my employer, but that is about it. This last Saturday we went out as a family, and we stopped at a couple stores that have collectible sections. I got two new figures in the mail that I feel like I had been waiting on forever… And lastly I finished a custom of a character from the Visions anime. Take a look by clicking here.
We’re just about caught up on my collecting activities while I was away. At the end of my leave I was afforded enough time (and enough free wood) to make a dream come true. About 3 years ago I designed a small papercraft model of a large building I wanted to make for my action figures, and, in a lot less time than I thought it would take, I finally was able to finish the real thing. Take a look here.
I’ve continued to work on customs and build my collection with new releases over the last few weeks. There are two troopers I finished customs of, and both are gaping holes in the ranks of Star Wars soldiers. I’m sure we’ll get one of them soon, and the other… we’ll see. Take a look at these customs and let me know if you think figures like them should make their way into Hasbro’s release schedule.
Hello everyone! Several Tuesdays have passed since the last TRT, but I’m back, baby! More like I’m back from having a baby… I’ve been on paternity leave these last 3 weeks. While I wish it was longer, I must return to my regular duties, which also means I have time again to write Toy Run articles. I hope to see lots of comments here and in the coming weeks! I didn’t have a lot of time to hunt, but I still received quite a few toys in the mail. Click here to take a look!
One figure that has always been on my list, but always just a little too expensive for me to justify buying on eBay is TVC Tarkin. The cost is justified due to the demand of the figure. Honestly, though, the real reason I haven’t bought one is because the figure doesn’t really look that good. It’s an odd green color, and the soft goods were misused. I have taken steps toward making my own custom, but I would really like an all-new Grand Moff Tarkin. What do you think, Toy Runners? Is Tarkin worthy of an all-new slot in TVC? Let us know…
Good day to you, toy runners. Today I bring you a report from a local toy convention that was held in Glendale, AZ. There were plenty of toys from just about every line you can think of, vintage and modern. I ended up not buying any new Star Wars figures though! I’m at a point in my collection where I am very satisfied with what I have from past releases. I buy what grabs my attention now. See anything here that grabs yours?
How do you do, Toy Runners? Thank you again for tuning in to another Toy Run Tuesday. Preorders from the latest wave continute to arrive. I also updated one of my dioramas with a scale replica arcade carpet. Sometimes it’s good to take a turn with another collection to avoid fatigue, but that doesn’t help the wallet. Please share your new collectibles or just come to comment by clicking here.
Welcome to another weekly Toy Run Tuesday update! We hope everyone had an enjoyable time at SWC and a relaxing holiday. This weekend I finished a custom Paz Vizsla and got my Walmart exclusive Ahsoka. Did you get any new figures this week? If you attended SWC, please share your haul with us as well! Hello Toy Runners! I’m pleased as punch to finally have some new toys to talk about. The most recent TVC Wave is showing up in the mail and in some stores. I’m still awaiting several figures from that wave, but I did get my Death Watch mandalorians. Have you gotten your figures yet? Please share in the comments what you’ve found and how you have integrated them in your displays!
Good morning Toy Runners! We’re back today with a couple updates. Some solid army building figures were recently revealed, and I’ve seen some posts of people starting to receive the Death Watch mandos in the mail. I recently received a Mandalorian throne and finished a custom figure from another Lucasfilm franchise. Click here to take a look.
Hello Toy Runners! How have you been faring lately? This lull is starting to drag on; I’m not expected to have any preorders arrive until June. Have you picked up any new figures these last few weeks? Let us know in the comments!
Hello again Toy Runners! I’m so happy to finally be done with this semester and take a break! This weekend I went to a new collectible store that opened in the Superstition Mall in Mesa, AZ called Amrahlynn’s Collectibles. If you like high-end collectibles like Sideshow and the like, this is definitely a store worth stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood. Check out some photos by clicking here, then leave a comment about your favorite collectibles store!
Hello Toy Runners! We are back today with the 131st TRT. I am still waiting on my preorder of the TVC Lobot figure from Hasbropulse (big surprise). Thankfully, a fellow collector on Facebook had one for a very reasonable price loose, and I snagged it quickly. Since the recent Gennedy Clone Wars figures have all arrived, things seem pretty quiet. What do you do during collecting lulls? Click here to add your thoughts.
Hello once again, Toy Runners! Lots going on in the world today. Hopefully you have still been able to find the time to enjoy your action figures and escape a little from “real” life! Click here to read more.
Hello fellow runners! I hope you had a productive week for your collections! I recently received my sets of the Bad Batch 4-pack. It’s a cool set, but certainly not worth $67. I want to see what you received this week though! Please click here to share your new collectibles!
Hello Toy Runners! I know for sure a lot of you had a great week for collecting because those Razorcrest Haslabs are being delivered all over the country! Please hop on in and share some pictures of how you plan to display this beast of a ship! Click here to check out my current display.
Hiya, folks, I was out with all 19 covids last week. Thankfully my family’s symptoms were minor and we are all feeling better now. During my time quarantining at home, I got a bunch of new figures! Please click here to share your new toys from the last couple weeks.
I got a really lucky score today. I had a feeling I should stop at Walmart on the way home from work today, and boy was my gut right. Someone had made a store return of some damaged Maldo Kreis Mandalorian sets. Click here to check out my week in Star Wars.
Hello, toy runners! Thanks for checking in on another Tuesday morning. I made some new customs for my collection, and rearranged a display shelf. Did you pick up any new toys or shuffle things around? Let us know in the comments!
Hello there! Hopefully you’ve had a fine couple weeks with the holidays. I didn’t get a single Star Wars item for Christmas other than what I bought for myself. That’s a good thing as I buy predominantly Star Wars things for myself. Please click here share with us your end-of-year toy hauls!
Howdy folks! Thanks for coming back to another Toy Run Tuesday. These last couple weeks have been really good for toy hunting since so much Christmas stock has shown up. I got a few new toys and completed a couple new customs. Check it out!
Just as the headline suggests, it’s Toy Run Tuesday once again! My stores have been hit heavy with Christmastime toy shipments of every brand and every line. I’ve found a lot of Hasbro product, but haven’t really bought much of it. Have you found any purchase worthy toys at the store these last few weeks?
Hello fellow Toy Runners! It’s that time of the week again. This last week I was doing some not-spring cleaning. I decided I’d pull out all my TVC cards. They went to the highest bidder, but I gotta say, seeing them all together like this brings warm feelings to my heart. Take a look…
