Hi folks! Not a lot going on the last couple weeks by way of collecting. I’ve been swamped with homework anyway, so I haven’t had much of a chance to go looking. In my little spare time I’ve been working on a couple commissions. I finished another 1313 Boba Fett, and I’m working on an ARC trooper Fives in 6″ scale. More importantly than what I can share, I want to hear from you about your recent additions! Please click here to leave a comment.
Just after last week’s post went live I was able to find the whole Emperor TVC wave at a local Target! I was so happy to find them in store. IG-11 is the stand-out figure from the wave in my opinion (the others are great too). I wanted to share a couple thoughts on the figure, so click here to take a look. Be sure to leave your weekly finds in the comments as well!
This week I got some new toys! One in particular is a modern update to a vintage Star Wars collectible I’ve wanted for a long time. I’m really happy I got this as it showed up on Hasbro’s eBay store only for a short time, and I wasn’t able to secure the vintage counterpart before the value shot up recently. Check it out by clicking here!
Welcome back folks! It’s a fine Tuesday afternoon and I want to report on my weekly findings and new collectibles! I hope to see yours in the comments. Click here to check out my new custom! It’s such a shame Hasbro hasn’t made these already for either scale.
Hello Toy Runners! This week I got the last of my preorders in the mail. I ended up with a case of Purge troopers, and 2 of each of the Ahsoka wave. It was a pretty great week. Along with those, I received an order of in-galaxy currency to add to my collection of various Star Wars monies. I don’t have the kind of cash flow it takes to collect high end prop replicas of sabers and blasters, but metal money is a relatively inexpensive way to get into the prop side of Star Wars collecting. Check out my additions by clicking here…
We discussed preorders a couple weeks ago, and one thing I forgot to mention is that they always seem to come all at once! I had more than 20 figures drop this week, but 6 of them were delayed on Amazon. Nevertheless it is a really good haul! Click here to check it out and leave comments of your own new toys!
Good evening, Toy Runners! My internet was down until now, so today’s post is a bit late. I am working on some new customs I wanted to share. I also wanted to talk about distribution a little bit and probably rant a bit too. Click here to hear me out.
Hi all! It’s a Tuesday evening, but not too late for TRT! This week I dont’ have a single new Star Wars anything to share. I think that’s the first time in 2 years of running this article. If you want to see my Tech Deck ramp I made, or my custom Halo figures let me know. This is a Star Wars site, though, so I’m keeping it related. I did want to talk about something: preorders. Preorders bring me no joy when it comes to collecting. I look at my amazon orders and the preordered figures get lost in the backlog of household items. Preorders get forgotten. I want to ask you today: How much stuff do you have preordered? And, Do preorders excite you as a collector? Let us know in the comments.
Hi everyone! Welcome to another fine Tuesday afternoon. I went out toy hunting this week but came up rather empty handed. I did find a great small poster of some B-Wings which I’ll share, but it leads me to ask: Do you collect Star Wars art? What is your favorite piece of Star Wars art? Let us know in the comments!
We’ve reached another Tuesday, and it’s that time again for Toy Run Tuesday! I’ve got a custom to share with you today. Please share your new toys with us in the comments by clicking here!
Hiya Toy Runners! Thanks for joining us again for today’s TRT. Today I want to share a new vehicle from another toy line I’ve been posting around that warrants some questions about the lack of vehicles in the Star Wars line. Click on through so we can discuss!
We just had our 100th TRT which had a great turnout and lots of comments. The 104th TRT is also special as it marks the 2nd anniversary of the weekly column (52 per year). Today we’ll look back on some of the top posts of the last year. Click here to check it out! Please share with us in the comments what some of your favorite collecting moments have been in the last year.
Welcome Toy Runners! Thanks in advance for reading. As many Hasbro figures as I’ve gotten in the last couple weeks, this week was very dry from them. I got some other toys, and have been working on a new diorama set. Check it out by clicking here…
This week Walmart came through and delivered a MINT Paploo. I mean this thing was packaged in a normal sized box with extra padding lying flat on the bottom of the package. I was shocked at how good the condition was for a Walmart exclusive. More…
Welcome friends and readers to another TRT. This week (surprisingly) Hasbro got a lot of my money! Lately it’s been going to other companies. I got a total of 14 Hasbro action figures both in the mail and in the store. Click here to check them out.
Welcome back Toy Runners. I am so sorry about last week, but I took a sick day from everything. So we’re back with the official one-hundredth TRT!! That is very exciting. As previously mentioned, today’s theme is ‘Favorite Figures.’ Please share a photo of your top most favorite Star Wars action figure in the comments! If you have more than one, or want to also pick some non-Star Wars ones you can pick your top 5, so long as 1-2 of them are Star Wars. Good luck picking, and thanks for reading!
Hello Toy Runners! This week I visited a few more toy stores and found a few good fodder figures for cheap at the Tucson Tanque Verde swap meet. Click here for some photos as well as an announcement about the theme of TRT #100.
My birthday and my father’s fall only about a week apart from the other, so, since he is a collector as well, we take an annual trip around the Phoenix area to all the local collector stores. It’s always fun, and there’s always something good to look at! Click here to see some wonderfully filled Star Wars sections.
Hello again Toy Runners! We are nearing 100 issues of TRT which is pretty crazy to me! Should we do a special theme for the 100th issue? I’ve got some new customs to share with you today so please click here to check them out! Then leave your photos of new finds in the comments and/or post them on Instagram!
Hello, toy runners! Welcome back to another fine Tuesday. This weekend my wife and I went to the Chandler Fashion Center mall, and perused through the shops. We went into a new toy store called Toy Temple. I also updated my TVC Obi-Wan with a definitive head sculpt from Spartan118 Industries. Check out my finds by clicking here!
Well, here’s something you don’t see very often… Toys! In the store! It was a miracle. This particular Walmart in San Tan, AZ must have gotten a Hasbro shipment in as I found a fresh case of repacked TVC figures, repacked GI Joe figures, and brand new Marvel Legends that coincide with several recent shows and even some upcoming ones… Amazing how Hasbro can do that.
Hello Toy Runners! I waited till I got home to write today because I had a delivery coming. I got a lot of good stuff this week, so please click here to check it out! Share with us in the comments your week’s finds as well!
All these reveals today kept me busy! I posted this on our Instagram page, but just am getting the chance to write about it now. This last week I completed a custom for a friend of Emperor Palpatine as seen in The Rise of Skywalker. Click through to check it out and please show off your own weekly finds in the comments!
I went on several toy runs this week. Nearly daily I could be found at a Target or Walmart on my lunch break or after work. I picked up a couple toys in the store. I also got some new toys in the mail. None of them were Star Wars, however. I’ll share the photos of my new toys in the article here, but I want to hear your thoughts about it. Where are all the Star Wars toys?
Toy Runners… I have a problem. I accumulate too many parts for customs and then have a thousand projects to work on and finish them slowly! Does anyone else have a problem with this kind of accumulation of collectibles? I’m sure we all do in one way or another. It’s a good thing we can talk about it in the comments…
