It’s my party, and I’ll cry about Disney Star Wars if I want to, but not before praising the gorgeous Boba Fett (Comic Art Edition) Target exclusive action figure. It’s also very colorful and presents a more modern-looking take on the comic character. (more….)
A $20.99 repaint of an Original Trilogy character beats a $14.99 all-new sculpt of a Disney Star Wars character any day of the week. And so we present to you the Boba Fett (Vintage Comic Art) Target exclusive. It’s very colorful, and the precision to detail in the paint job is astounding. But its MRSP is offensive. (more….)
Today is the 15th Anniversary of Research Droids Reviews. Where does the time go? The Star Wars IP has gone to hell in a handbasket, but at least a few good toys get released here and there. For many, it is the only source of engagement we have. But as we enter our 15th season of this column, we will continue to bring the latest figures and collectibles from Hasbro and other companies to our database and keep the momentum going. Thank you for your patronage after all of these years. Let’s look at the re-released Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) figure. (more….)
It’s official. Hasbro hit an all-new low with collectors. The Target-exclusive Boba Fett figure in Kenner colors has an MSRP of $22.99. It’s not funny anymore. That said, the figure has some major authenticity issues. Find out what they are. (more….)
Tonight’s Visual Guide update features the Amazon exclusive 2-pack Boba Fett/Bossk (Special 2 Action Figures) set. Click below to check out our fully detailed Visual Guide. You can also read our full review of this set right here.
Here we go again! It’s time to celebrate an important historical landmark in Star Wars with a pitiful array of products from Hasbro. Boba Fett isn’t bad, however. It’s just laughably expensive. (more….)
Over the last couple weeks I have been working on a few customs. I got a few new figures in the mail (currently for free). What did you add to your collections over the last couple weeks? Click here to take a look and add a comment!
Good evening Toy Runners! I hope your weekend was relaxing! The extra day off for Labor Day was certainly appreciated. I’m waiting on some TVC figures from Amazon, so no new figures for me this week, but I was able to add some new props to my small display shelf. They are made by Hammerhead Customs, a well known maker of 3d printed vintage figures. Take a look!
Hello everyone! Several Tuesdays have passed since the last TRT, but I’m back, baby! More like I’m back from having a baby… I’ve been on paternity leave these last 3 weeks. While I wish it was longer, I must return to my regular duties, which also means I have time again to write Toy Run articles. I hope to see lots of comments here and in the coming weeks! I didn’t have a lot of time to hunt, but I still received quite a few toys in the mail. Click here to take a look!
The Boba Fett (Tatooine) figure is nice but ridiculously expensive. Hasbro should feel shame. The Star Wars tax has to end. Are you adding this overpriced The Vintage Collection figure to your collection?. (more….)
The Star Wars “Saga” line is officially two decades old. We’re revisiting all of the figures that made up this unprecedented lineup. Today, we continue with 2002’s Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] Jango Fett (Slave I Pilot) (’02 #47) figure. Check out the new review template, the all-new Photo Gallery, the rewritten review, and the other content we updated as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the line that supported Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones.
The Vintage Collection’s Bo-Katan Kryze (VC226) is a fantastic addition to the 3.75″ line! Click below for our full Visual Guide for this figure. You can also stop by and check out our full review of this figure.

I got a really lucky score today. I had a feeling I should stop at Walmart on the way home from work today, and boy was my gut right. Someone had made a store return of some damaged Maldo Kreis Mandalorian sets. Click here to check out my week in Star Wars.
Welcome back folks! It’s a fine Tuesday afternoon and I want to report on my weekly findings and new collectibles! I hope to see yours in the comments. Click here to check out my new custom! It’s such a shame Hasbro hasn’t made these already for either scale.
Hello Toy Runners! This week I got the last of my preorders in the mail. I ended up with a case of Purge troopers, and 2 of each of the Ahsoka wave. It was a pretty great week. Along with those, I received an order of in-galaxy currency to add to my collection of various Star Wars monies. I don’t have the kind of cash flow it takes to collect high end prop replicas of sabers and blasters, but metal money is a relatively inexpensive way to get into the prop side of Star Wars collecting. Check out my additions by clicking here…
Welcome to another entry in our The Vintage Collection: The Ninety Six column. Hasbro recently committed to collectors that they will be “focusing” on characters in The Vintage Collection that fall under “The Ninety Six” banner. If you’re new to this, it means that there needs a modern counterpart for every classic Kenner figure. Between 2020 and 2021, Hasbro’s made an admirable effort by focusing on these characters. But there is more work to be done, and we’ll figure out where we are step by step. Today we assess three versions of Boba Fett.
