The Vintage Collection is sinking down the bottomless blue pool. You'd have to be living in a hole in the ground somewhere to not realize what a terrible state the Star Wars toy line is in at the moment. Distribution is frankly the worst its ever been. And even with Hasbro starting up The Vintage Collection under a new SKU for 2012 hasn't alleviated the issues. They even promised us new waves every 4-6 weeks. But the figures couldn't be more difficult to find. We don't claim to have a solution, but we do believe that the powers that be need to be made aware of this tragic state of collecting we're living in because we think it is only going to get worse. Please courteously and professionally call Hasbro Consumer Affairs and let them know what part of the USA you live and express to them how impossible it is to find your beloved Star Wars figures. Expect to receive a canned response from the customer service representatives, but ask them to escalate your comments and ask for a file number with follow up. They run call reports and if enough of us make known the terrible state of affairs at retail, perhaps then something serious can be done to help us out. Something has to be done.

Whether distribution changes so that each Big Box retail store receives an exclusive wave (hey, it worked for Discover The Force - these figures are plentiful for the most part) or if the line has to become a ONE store's exclusive line, whatever it takes to make these action figures available to us is all we really care about now. We're sending out an SOS to you Hasbro, please don't reject it. We don't want this line to perish.
