Research Droids Reviews: January 18, 2012 – January 24, 2012

Astromech Droid Pack Series I - TSC - Exclusive
After Entertainment Earth had a knock-it-out-of-the-park hit with their four unique clone trooper multipacks, they gained a confidence that this would be a great medium to bring more new and exciting action figures to collectors. After being rejected by Hasbro for a second clone trooper series, they looked elsewhere and came up with what we would ascertain as one of the greatest sets ever made.... (read the full review)

Astromech Droid Pack Series II - TSC - Exclusive
The Entertainment Earth exclusive Astromech Droid Pack Series I and Astromech Droid Pack Series II sets were ultimately very well-received. They didn’t resonate with collectors like their previous clone trooper multipacks did, but they were successful and introduced the collecting community to never before released astromech droids that we may have not received any other way were it not for these sets.... Podracer Pilots - SW [TPM 3D] - Exclusive
It’s time to party like it’s 1999 all over again. Get used to this play on words. Most of the administrators of the various fan sites you visit grew up in the 80s. And it’s something we are unwilling to bury away. The Phantom Menace is making a reappearance in theaters in 2012 and for the first time Star Wars fans can see the first episode of the saga in state of the art 3D.... (read the full review)

Lucas Collector's Set - TSC - Exclusive
Sigh. The Lucas Collector’s Set is about equally enthralling as it is boring. You likely would have to be a George Lucas zealot to find deep interest in this multipack, a proud StarWarsShop.com exclusive. They’ve billed this item and placed it on the same plateau as an item that would capture the same audience as the over-sensationalized Jorg Sacul figure from 2002.... (read the full review)
