It seems that little is sacred anymore. Theft is at an all-time high, there is no respect for others and Star Wars collectors should not have to witness what we do at the retail level. Some people are obviously out for themselves and will stomp on someone else's chances at attaining figures from The Vintage Collection. I came across a shocking discovery this morning at my local Toys R Us. I brought the travesty to the manager's attention and ended up reaping my own benefits in return. Theft Again!

When I entered the Star Wars aisle at my local Toys R Us, I came across a dozen The Vintage Collection figures all with the proof of purchases ripped off. Immediately agitated from finding this, I brought all 12 to the manager's attention. He was actually very angry at what someone did to his inventory. After we talked for a while, I asked him out of curiosity what will happen to those figures. He explained that he would have to damage them out because they no longer have inventory tags, or create faux inventory stickers and sell them at a loss. I asked him how much he would sell them for and if they were a decent price I would take some off of his hands. He came up with a price of $3.50 each and I walked away with 5 of the 12 for openers in my own collection.

I didn't share this story to for you to expect the same result if you have a similar situation, but doing the right thing does have a potential of paying off. Simply put, do the right thing because it's just the right thing to do. Report this activity to managers whenever possible. (The manager of this store said that he would be pulling the security camera tapes in that aisle.)
