Will this never end? We have been alerted to a new instance of theft. Click through for the details. (Sorry for the grainy photos.)

An avid JTA reader (who shall remain anonymous) contaced us about what he thought was a running change to the TVC Sandtrooper (VC14) figure. This is what he had to say:

I found two different types of sand troopers both in the same packaging, one a clean storm trooper and the other is dirty looking with different type of gun (pistol instead of two rifles) I will send some pictures along. I was just curious if I found something worth holding on to.

Our answer: You have unfortunately been scammed. Someone has taken the 2006 TSC Sandtrooper figure and repackaged it in The Vintage Collection. If something looks this odd, please don't buy it and alert the store manager. This has been a chronic problem for years and we have to make it known to the people that matter to end this type of theft. And what really stinks is that we wouldn't suggest trying to return it for fear that the store may think you are the one trying to scam them. It's a bitter cycle.

Our suggestion: Call Hasbro Consumer Affairs and see if they'll send you a label to send it back to them. Hasbro is a huge machine, and they probably have a legal team that can lift fingerprints or something off of that figure. (We lightly kid, but we still suggest not messing with Hasbro.) And maybe they will be willing to send you a replacement.

Our warning: To the hive of scum and villainy doing this to our beloved Star Wars brand? Well, just don't ever let me catch you at a customer service desk trying to return this stuff.
