The 2010 summer convention season is going to be busy for Star Wars collectors. What does Hasbro have in store? Read on and find out!

Hasbro will be offering a number of exclusives at several events this summer. And the offerings range from Expanded Universe comic 2-packs, to Vintage Collection 2-Packs and on to something you thought you might never see. So where are these events and what's getting offered? Let's follow the calender!

STAR TOURS BOARDING PARTY
Available at Star Wars Weekends
Disney MGM Studios in Orlando, FL
Beginning May 21st, 2010
Limited edition of 15,000

This pack contains five figures, two of which are all new. The lineup includes:
STAR TOURS Officer
Kaink
Teek
Ree-Yees
Chewbacca

Notes about these figures?

STAR TOURS Officer is a repaint of the Power Of The Jedi Imperial Officer
Kaink is an all new figure based on the Ewok seen in the Star Tours ride boarding video
Teek is also an all new figure as see in the Star Tours ride boarding video
Ree-Yees is a reissue of the POTF2 Ree-Yees with a camera accessory
Chewbacca is a reissue of the POTJ Millenium Falcon Mechanic sculpt

The Star Tours Boarding Party battle pack is being offered exclusively through Disney MGM Studios in the theme park. It may also be available through the Once Upon A Toy store in Downtown Disney.

STAR WARS "VISIONARIES" COMIC 2-PACK
Available at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con
Also available through Hasbro Toy Shop.com
July 22nd - 25th, 2010

This comic 2-pack is from the VISIONARIES story "Old Wounds". It's an Infinities style story and presupposes that Darth Maul managed to survive his duel in STAR WARS EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE with Obi-Wan Kenobi. It features Darth Maul with cybernetic legs and Owen Lars. Hasbro made a note of saying during their presentation that this set would be available in limited quantities.

STAR WARS: EMPIRE #8 Comic 2-Pack
Available at Star Wars Celebration 5
Orlando, FL
August 12th - 15th, 2010

Also available through Hasbro Toy Shop.com

This comic 2-pack was derived from the DARKLIGHTER story arc as seen in Dark Horse comics' STAR WARS: EMPIRE #8. And it's the first time that a pair of characters from the infamous Toshi Station cut scene in A NEW HOPE, Camie & Fixer have been made into figures. This 2-pack will be available at Celebration 5 and through Hasbro Toy Shop.com, but Hasbro advises that quantities will be limited.

BOUNTY HUNTERS VINTAGE 2-Pack
Available at Star Wars Celebration 5
Orlando, FL
August 12th - 15th, 2010

Also available through Hasbro Toy Shop.com

This particular offering is a callback to one of the more curious episodes of action figure history. Both Bounty Hunters were featured in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and with Hasbro celebrating the 30th Anniversary of EMPIRE it seems only fitting to revisit this particular chapter. And it began with a mailaway promotion for a figure called 4-LOM. But 4-LOM actually was the Bounty Hunter that we now know as Zuckuss. And when the droid Bounty Hunter that is currently known as 4-LOM was released by Kenner, it went by the name Zuckuss. Time passed and through some EU retconning, both characters names were changed. The Gand bounty hunter came to be known as Zuckuss, and the droid bounty hunter was henceforth 4-LOM.

Now, both will be available in a Vintage Collection 2-pack that celebrates this somewhat murky saga. And while collectors may scratch their heads about buying new versions of these figures (a Zuckuss figure is in stores now) and 4-LOM will be on a VINTAGE COLLECTION basic figure card, these two figures have some new deco to distinguish them from other releases. Notably this version of Zuckuss appears to have vinyl softgoods that are reminiscent of the Kenner vintage release.

No doubt it's going to be an exciting summer as all of these event exclusives look very nice. Stay tuned for more Toy Fair coverage as JTA continues to wrap up all of the news from the 2010 New York International Toy Fair.
