The second 12" Figure Environment has been released from Sideshow Collectibles in the form of Han Solo In Carbonite. This expensive collectible is very nice, but we have determined that the $199.99 sticker is overpriced. And we would probably still have to say it was too expensive at $149.99. But - with all that being said - click through and check out some detailed images of this beautifully executed collectible.

Don't get us wrong, the Han Solo In Carbonite 12" Figure Environment is stunning and has a near perfect likeness to the movie prop. [The bizarre texture you may see in the up-close shots are actually rain droplets, not part of the collectible's texture. We wanted you to see this collectible as soon as possible, so we work no matter rain, nor snow...you get the point.] As mentioned earlier, this is truly too expensive for what it is. And we must be honest, when Sideshow says that they use high quality polystone, we expect them to use high quality polystone. This piece is as light as a feather and we find this disappointing. Sideshow has not been consistent with the weight of their products so we are not entirely sure what is going on. The Han Solo In Carbonite piece attaches to the base perfectly via a pin and magnet system and this method works very well! But don't expect to hang the entire thing on your wall, there is nothing but a nice skin of velvet on its backside. It is beautiful and we very rarely complain about the cost of items, but this one just isn't worth the price, unless you are a one of everything collector! Perhaps more value could have been added by including Jabba's pottery or tables or ANYTHING else with this.
