Ohio Walmart Puts Exclusive 3.75" Line On Clearance!

Retail has no concept of what is going on, especially when it comes to Star Wars toys. This is either additional proof that Walmart is the WORST retailer to get a collector-focused line or could this be an early sign that the Walmart exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] line is dead in the water? (Those other figures listed on that Walmart spy report never did get revealed or announced. Then again, nothing has been announced. We digress.) JTA reader Dave sends us an alarming image of the Walmart exclusive line being marked down and "clearance" stickered at a store in Ohio. Five super-articulated figures from The Force Awakens since September, and now this local store seems to have give up too.... on a THE collector line no less. Let's hope this is just the work of a clueless department manager. Waiting for a contradictory "tiptoe through the tulips" post in 3... 2... 1...

Hi guys,

[I] just stopped at my WalMart in Southeastern Ohio and was surprised to see that they have started to mark down the 3.75" Black series already at $11.00. We've been lucky here with regular stock although I've never seen a 3.75" Rey or 6" Phasma but everything else has been plentiful. I'm worried that if they're marking these on clearance, then they might not be ordering any future waves...

I really enjoy your site! Keep up the good work...

Thanks,
Dave
