Jedi Temple Archives was invited to a private LEGO screening event in New York City today to see the SERIES FINALE of Droid Tales. In addition, LEGO showed the invited media guests the latest LEGO Star Wars products. They also premiered a new book entitled Small Scenes from a Big Galaxy. This modestly priced (and gorgeous) book gets released on November 10th. We highly suggest you pre-order your copy now. It's simply stunning. Anyway, the Droid Tales Series Finale premieres this Monday on Disney XD. We were graciously treated to the humor, action and purely beautiful animation a few days early and we have a special rundown of what was seen. Spoiler warnings apply, but click through for a brief synopsis of what you can expect to see yourself on Monday! We've kept most of the big secrets safe for your own enjoyment. By the way, LEGO provided the best popcorn from PopKarma.com we ever had

The Droid Tales Series Finale was incredible. We laughed nonstop throughout the entire presentation. The story has been set during the events of Return Of The Jedi, but as you know, Droid Tales loves to put their own spin on things, use different versions of the main characters which aren't scene specific, and take the dialogue to the next level. Kid-friendly and nerd-approved, Star Wars: Droid Tales was full of excitement, and more adult humor than you'd might expect (all clean by the way).

C-3PO and R2-D2 set the stage for the story as they're held hostage (along with some of their old friends) by Imperial Stormtroopers. They can't seem to agree on who was really the hero (or who were the heroes) during the Battle of Endor (as well as the other battle in Episode VI) so C-3PO decides to retell it. In the meantime, R2-D2 scurries off and C-3PO immediately believes that he and everyone else has been abandoned by him (as if R2-D2 can save them all).... or can he?. Is there hope that our heroes will be saved!?

After the introduction, the story dives deeply and quickly into the events of Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi. It's certainly a mad dash from beginning to finish, but it's enjoyable all the same. Be sure to look out for a twist during the speeder bike chase. Think pilot and co-pilot joining in on the fun this time. Oh, and Luke is as lovably whiny as ever. Listen carefully for pop culture references and completely modern takes on classic Star Wars dialogue!

The Emperor is a standout character for this episode. He is however a little bit naive in this take on Episode VI, but he is pretty humorous too. For us, the best moment in the entire 22 minutes was when Luke Skywalker attempts to remove Darth vader's helmet. Action figure collectors should expect what happens next. Again, it was the highlight of the entire episode. We won't ruin it for you here though. But you WILL laugh.

As C-3PO finishes up recapping their adventures during the Battle of Carkoon and the Battle of Endor, the story pans back to the Stormtroopers holding them hostage. The Imperial Stormtroopers begin to believe the heroes' version of the story. Be sure to look out for General Veers and his collection of droid parts which are housed in a big warehouse of sorts. It's important to the story's finale.

Although C-3PO believed he was betrayed by R2-D2, R2-D2 suddenly brings the Millennium Falcon to them. He breaks through the glass and rescues everyone. Oh, but those droid parts of General Veers? A terrible twist of fate stops them in their tracks as you can see above. Will they escape? Are they doomed by a big bully B1 Battle Droid? Uh-oh! You'll have to tune in this Monday to find out!

Airs: Monday, Novemember 2, 2015 on Disney XD at 9:00 PM EST. Check your local listings for exact details in your area.
