JTA reader John D. alerts us to the availablilty of the formerly 'cancelled' Command Epic Assault Figures & Vehicles Playset: Rancor Revenge with Jabba the Hutt set. It's been discounted on Amazon for $29.95 for those interested in this series. Thanks for the alert John!

Hi Folks:

I just wanted to share some product news for anyone who actually liked the Command line of "army men" sets.

I just discovered, ordered, and received today the "cancelled" Rancor's Revenge set.

It was among a few new sets teased last year including 2 more Rebels sets, and figure packs including a bounty hunter set and an Episode I set. After some Googling I found photos of these others from Toy Fair(?) a couple years ago.

This set includes 15 figures and 6 vehicles:
Jabba the Hutt (silver commander), Luke Skywalker (gold commander), Rancor (with action feature), Princess Leia (Boushh disguise), Han Solo in Carbonite, R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca (new pose), Lando Calrissian (guard disguise), Boba Fett, Bib Fortuna, 2 Gamorrean Guards, 2 Sandtroopers, Millennium Falcon, X-Wing Fighter, Sail Barge, 2 Skiffs, AT-ST, 5 Stands, 1 Base, 2 Boulders (for the rancor to throw).

Not sure why it has the Sandtroopers and the AT-ST. Maybe they didn't make the skiff guards since the set was cancelled. And more figures or a base for Jabba would have made more sense than the AT-ST.

Apparently it is available in the UK at some shops, and over here at Tuesday Morning stores at a lower price than I got this from the seller on Amazon. I got mine for around 30 dollars--the cheapest I've found online). Unfortunately I am nowhere near a Tuesday Morning and I figured the price was offset by not driving to find one and the other discounts I've gotten over the past several months on the sets available everywhere else.

In any case, I think it's a fun set if you like this sort of thing. And there are a few out there for people to find in some shops and on Amazon and eBay if that's THEIR thing.
