How About WTF Instead Of DTF?

Yeah, WTF means "What The Force?" so get your head out of the gutter. It's amazing just how desperate we are to find something new and exciting on the pegs. It's hard to believe that fun The Vintage Collection days are long gone. Yet, Hasbro felt that it would to wise to hibernate the line. While we admit that The Phantom Menace TVC stuff was too much, they don't hang around as nearly as badly as the Discover The Force and Movie Heroes figures do. I've been desperate to find something new at retail, so when I went on an errand in North Baltimore, I stopped by a Target, Tuesday Morning, and a fiVe BELoW. NOTHING. No 3.75 Star Wars, Marvel Universe nor GI Joe. It was a wasteland. Yeah, Target had some Mission Series and shampoo bottles, but I wanted TBS or if lucky, some elusive TVCs.

So my last stop was the Executor class sized, Super-Walmart. Last time I was there in June, they just had Mission Series. Today, I saw four each of some old friends; Ric Olie and the Naboo Pilot. Yes, full price at $9.96. What was the release date on DTF? I have no idea how long they've been out, but the card backs were in really good shape? Leftovers ?

I guess it's better than one peg with few light sabers. {:-(

Thanks

Sjefke

Editor's Note: Their original release date was January 2012. They are going on three years old now.
