JTA Scottish reader Darth G. went all the way to Florida for a family vacation. While there, he found some amazing resources for Star Wars collectibles. I have to tell you, seeing these images was like a flashback to all of the golden collecting years we had with Hasbro. To think where we are now is so disheartening. It's nearly melancholy when viewing Darth G.'s images because we all know it will never be like this again. But without becoming Debbie Downer, click through and see a sampling of what he saw. Darth G. hit the nail on the head in his report. it's all about finding this great stuff on the pegs. Sadly, that major factor is nearly nonexistent in this day and age. If you want to, leave your own fond memories of this fun collecting period in our comments too.

Hi Paul,

I type not from showery Scotland but fun Florida as I'm here on a family vacation. In between all the high jinks, I've obviously been looking to buy some figures. Disney is full of black series peg warmers and all the Kmarts have sadly closed. A walk into Florida Mall however revealed very odd finds in not 1 but 2 of the toy stores in there!

"Toyz" and "Classic Toys" both had a bizarre range of figures - Toyz having less articulated and less exciting ones as opposed to Classic who stocked a great assortment of 30th anniversary 77-07! No Sith Lords or anything too rare I'm afraid and at $15.99 for that line, they were slightly overpriced. But considering I would have to pay shipping on eBay for the ones I wanted (and lets face it, buying off the pegs is what it's about) I bit the bullet!

The 4 pictured I didn't own so I was thrilled to pick them up. There was also a 6inch BS Boba Fett in amongst the Slave Leias and Greedos! I've sent a few photos so you can kind of browse for yourself.
Enjoy!

Darth G.
