Obi-Wontons? Gungan Gazpacho? JTA reader and hard-hitting commenter Les Dudis had an extra special Star Wars day thanks to a very loving girlfriend. She made Star Wars themed food complete with action figures to accompany the dishes! Click through to see these works of art at The Busy Spatula!

Hey Paul!

LesDudis here! It's been a while but I thought this would be something fun for the JTA readers, following up on their Star Wars Day festivities. The following may sound like a plug but I promise it's really cool!

I've only taken Star Wars Day "seriously" in the last 3 years because my girlfriend surprised me with our first party in 2012. Every year has been a blast making May 4th about Star Wars. Well, she actually started a food blog recently called The Busy Spatula and she blogged all of the fun food we had this year.

You'll see all the "punny" names like Obi-Wontons & Gungan Gazpacho (wait 'til you see the centerpiece dessert!), as well as my personal figures to match the respective dishes! This year we stuck with an Episode I theme to celebrate the 15 years since its release. So you'll see all the food is named after Episode I things... and we even played the Phantom Menace Monopoly (the one with the 3D board).

Hope you can share it with our fellow JTA readers! It was a lot of fun and hope everyone else had a great Star Wars Day (and Revenge of the Fifth, Revenge of the Sixth, etc...)!
