I am excited to provide exclusive Jedi Temple Archives content on some upcoming Hasbro Star Wars items that will be coming our way and likely confirmed at San Diego Comic Con, if not sooner. Although I feel we provided our readers with some cool coverage from NY Toy Fair this year, I wanted to give you something more.... anticipatory, for lack of a better word. If you see these details posted anywhere else, they were lifted from my conversations directly with Hasbro (except for one and you'll know which one that is shortly). I essentially "lowered" myself and "begged" to various staff at Hasbro and pleaded to have them give me something I could take back to our loyal readership. Would you believe they actually gave me some stuff to share? (Or maybe that was the top secret stuff I was to keep under the vest.... I don't know.) I guess I should preface this with "until you hear it from Hasbro take it with a grain of salt" but why at this point? It seems as if all of our rumors come true and with just a few exceptions, this "hack" site is providing content that is just at the forefront of what readers want to hear. • There is STILL a Princess Leia Organa action figure coming in The Black Series, and it is likely going to be from The Empire Strikes Back.
• I told Hasbro that my closest Star Wars collecting friends are lovers of anything Jabba. I begged for an unannounced upcoming figure to reveal exclusively. Sadly, I was denied specifics, but I can confirm a new skiff guard in on tap for The Black Series 3.75" line. They wouldn't give me a drop more, like is it an update to a previously released figure, or a never-before-released character for example. But I am guessing it may be a first-time offered character.
• There WILL BE a The Black Series 6" Tauntaun coming this year.
• Lucasfilm told Hasbro "no" about releasing Star Wars: Rebels figures in realistic style even though Hasbro wanted to offer them. But they will be coming in the future.
• If The Vintage Collection would "return", it would come back in the way the VOTC and VTSC was released. (That's a big clue folks. Special thanks to you-know-who for letting me overhear that....)
  
• Fans of The Empire Strikes Back will be, and I quote Hasbro, "need-new-underwear excited" at San Diego Comic Con this year. They left it at that.
• Emperor Palpatine is coming in The Black Series 6" line based on his appearance in Return Of The Jedi. He will come with two sets of interchangeable hands: one with Force lightning, one set without. In a snarky manner I asked when they would get to work on a definitive 3.75" figure next.... (but thanked them for letting that tidbit slip out)
• A "huge" vehicle may not be coming in 2014, but that doesn't mean one won't be coming in 2015. Talks of making the Ghost is a big consideration....
• There are NO The Vintage Collection exclusives planned in 2014, but they are in talks with retailers for other exclusives and anything is possible.
• FUN FACT: Paul Harrison totally humiliated himself and insulted the SL Stormtrooper to the man who made it. (Like laughing at its 80s high shoulder pad armor and rounded helmet.) Keep in mind this was the man responsible for giving me most of this information. Oh well, at least he will remember me now, right?
