JTA reader Walter F. writes in with a horrifying take of store theft... and after the fact no less. He didn't even realize it until he got home. Click through for his story.

Hi Paul,

Just wanted To shoot some photos over to You of some theft issues I’ve ran into for the 1st time. All though this seems to be getting common with figures these thieves are getting more clever about their ways and I just wanted everyone to see one of their tricks. Maybe to help out some of Our Friends and fellow Collectors.

I purchased the Imperial Scanning Crew sets and to my own fault did not check the packages very well. 1st mistake: I picked them up and got the 1st ones in the stack on the shelf. Giving them a quick look over I didn’t notice any cut tape or damage to the boxes. 2nd mistake: I waited a week or so before opening them to look them over. Only discovering that each one was missing one figure each. Not to mention one of the Scanning equipment boxes. So I looked at the boxes again. This time finally noticing that someone had cleverly re-taped over the original package tape. A quick glance would not have caught this. Which in my case didn’t. Epic fail on my part. So I included some photos if You can make it out. Unless You know the weight of the boxes beforehand You want know anything is missing unless You scan the box good.
