An Amazing Find And A Thought Or Two For Hasbro

I hope you're sitting down while reading this because I nearly collapsed in the aisle. I actually found the Ahsoka (SCUBA Gear) wave of The Clone Wars line 12:30 PM on the dot at a 24 hour Walmart today. The Force was with me. This is an unbelievable find because this particular area has been overrun with Movie Heroes and the TPM wave of The Vintage Collection. Click through for more.

Hasbro, I hope you learn something from this. When you lauch a street date, all of the lines need new product to prevent the lines from backing up and coming to a standstill at retail. Twelve all-new The Clone Wars figures would have allowed the line to succeed. We would have bought multiples of them and cleared the way for more cases to come. We understand the need for an occasional carry-forward figure, but only three new figures in this Ahsoka case is just simply not going to work and it's unreasonable for you to think it will. If you can only bring us twelve new figures per reset, then fine. Hold them all for a special release then, but stop incessantly repacking the same old garbage. Or repack stuff we all want to see again. (TCW Commander Bly, TCW Darth Sidious, TVC MagnaGuard, TVC Gamorrean Guard) We could go on and on and on.

The same is true for Movie Heroes. You should have released twelve new figures on day one and then pepper in the "peg-warmers" along with new figures in case assortments. And logic would dictate that the same is true for The Vintage Collection. Bringing TPM figures into every new case assortment was the worst mistake made to date. New, new new. And if you can't do twelve all-new figures, there are plenty of clones and commanders we need that you can easily repaint and release as a "new enough" figure for us. We will buy those, we promise! You can't just keep recycling the same old figures over and over again. Let's work together to keep this line healthy. I shouldn't have to wait until August to get figures that were released in May. OK?!
