You want a sampling of what we asked Hasbro and the responses they gave? We asked about that Forbes announcement, paint operations, repacks, the 40th anniversary and so much more! Click through for more.
We're working on our Q&A now, but here are some things we feel comfortable revealing now as a tease. Be sure to come back fro the FULL Q&A soon!
So, what's the deal with that big Hasbro announcement about 3.75" super-articulated action figures? Well, Hasbro told me last night that this was a bit of a misquote by Forbes. It appears JTA isn't the only media outlet guilty of this (inside joke for those that remember). Right now nothing is being planned for that aside from what is going on with Walmart.
The 40th anniversary of Star Wars is coming and Hasbro said that some great things are as well. They wouldn't reveal details, but rest assured JTA asked for things like the return of the 1984/1985 Power Of The Force coins, an updated Yak Face and first time modern offering of Sim Aloo.
If you've noticed, paint operations are getting better and better. Is this intentional? Yes it is! Hasbro has made progress in this area and they've continuing to look for ways to ensure beautiful paint operations and accuracy going forward.
That's it for now! Be sure to come back for our full Q&A as soon as humanly possible where we address things like: The Black Series 3.75" Yoda. Was that Boss Fight Studio blueprint just pie in the sky, or was Yoda actually planned to be like that? Can we expect more TVC re-releases in the Walmart line? Can we ever expect to see super-articulated action figures return as a mainline product?
