Proof That Super-Articulated The Force Awakens Figures Are Coming?

Posted by Paul | August 16, 2015 at 02:57 PM ET

It's evident that most of the community is in panic mode over the lack of super-articulated 3.75" reveals (and a great deal of attacking one another over what everyone should like or not like – but that's another article). With all the stuff that has leaked thus far, it's honestly a little perplexing that we still haven't seen any collector grade 3.75" figures seen or teased. However, one of our readers, who has asked to remain anonymous (and we will respect that), opened up a customer service ticket and got a very interesting response from Hasbro Customer Service. While I personally find it suspect (since Hasbro Marketing people at the various conventions could only say "no comment to every TFA question) that this customer service rep gave THIS MUCH detail, there is no doubt it alleviates some of my own personal concerns. BUT. I still feel we will just have to wait until 9/4 to see if this is actually true. Click through for this MUST READ interaction with Hasbro

Dear Customer Service,

Why is Hasbro not continuing the super articulated 3 3/4" figures for the new Star Wars movie line? My boys hate the stiff arm and legs of the Mission series and from pictures I have seen, the new figures will be the same 5 points of articulation! While I loved Star Wars figures as a child, I always hated that they couldn't pose to hold weapons or whatever. My kids have the same feeling. They love the Black Series 3 3/4" figures because they move. Really disappointing that you have chosen this course for figures. Star Wars figures has always been about the little figures. Great because they fit in your pocket, your bag, wherever for easy travel for adventures. The Black Series 6" figures are great for me, but kids don't care about those. They want little figures that move as well. As much as they cost, seems like we could get more than 5 POA. Thanks.

Subject: Articulation

Hasbro Response:

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro regarding our Star Wars product line.

I'm happy to say that we are not moving away from our traditional 3-3/4" Star Wars figures. In September, our Star Wars-The Force Awakens line will be announced with several sizes of figures available, including our consumer's favorite 3-3/4" line of figures. They are just as detailed and articulated as our
previous generations of Star Wars figures.

Again, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to reach out to us.

I hope you have a fun day!

Kind regards,
Jason
