JTA reader Plastic Empire from Canada shares a happy story of securing four The Black Series 6" Stormtroopers for his collection. Find out how he did it! (Clue: He benefited from a post on JTA and the news spread quickly!) Click through for more!

Hello JTA readers and fellow collectors. It's Dan again from The Plastic Empire with another Store Report.

Today a package from Quebec showed up to my house in Toronto Canada. It was my order from L'entrepot Du Jouet. Earlier this month JTA reported a crazy deal for Canadian Collectors. Big thanks to Paul from JTA and his reader that posted the 6" Stormtrooper was available from the Quebec Retail/Etailer. Living in Canada playing shipping from the US is always a pain and often not worth it after tax/duty. After seeing everyone get orders placed on TRU.com and HasbroToyShop.com in the US I was getting very jealous of my American friends. Thankfully I was one of the first Canadians to see the post on JTA homepage and I immediately scrambled to my main CPU with credit card in hand.

Now that I knew I could get 6" Stormtroopers @ $22.99 CND with Free Shipping to my home, the question was how many do I buy? My collector focus is currently 6" Black Series figures but I typical only buy one to open and one to keep MOC. So should I buy 2? 4? 8? 12? Their appeared to be no limit. What would you have done if money wasn't an issue?

I ended up deciding to get 4 of them. 1 to open, 2 to keep and 1 to gift or sell to a friend at cost. Not like I needed 10 of them ( Insert HasbroToyShop joke here ) Plus I figured I would leave some for the masses. Within seconds of getting my order placed I took to Twitter via @TPEmpire ( my new twitter handle ) to thank everyone @JTArchives and let my fellow Canadians followers know about this crazy deal. I told a close friend/collector about the opportunity, he also bought 4.

I checked back a couple days later and the listing was no longer showing on the e-tailers website. Clearly I was not the only one taking advantage of this great deal on arguably the hardest to find 6" Black Series Figure.

Note these are what I have been calling the Canadian Card/Box or the Tri-Language Tri-Logo Box that I am used to seeing in Canada. Regular retail here ( TRU, Walmart, Target, Supercentre ) in the Greater Toronto Area still do not have ANY 6" Black Series Wave 3 figures in stock or on order from what Iv been told by employees. Finding 6" Black Series Case figures has been a real pain in the Wampa for the first few waves. I had to write this Store Report just to thank JTA for making collecting it a little bit easier!

-Your Canadian Collector,
Dan from The Plastic Empire
