Hey JTA gang,

I don’t typically write in but I do keep an eye on what you guys post daily on the site and FB. I sure do appreciate your efforts on this site to keep us up to date and all the great work in the RDRs.

Just thought I would let you know that I had one of the most amazing collecting experiences I have ever had at a TRU this morning.

My youngest daughter’s birthday is today (8/11), so I took her to the local Target for a new booster car seat. Naturally I had to check the toy aisle since JTA has been providing reports of the Black Series turning up all around. My local Target (Pleasant Hill, CA) only had a couple of Biggs Darklighter and Anakin Skywalker figures from the Black Series, but at least it was something new. Unfortunately, no Padme or Troopers of any sort. I went ahead and picked up the Biggs figure (and a Yoda Saga Legends for my daughter). I am only collecting particular figures these days due to my financial and employment situation so I passed on the Anakin figure this time around.

Anyway, I decided to pop in next door to the Toys R Us just to see if they had a better selection. To my disappointment, the Pleasant Hill TRU had an even worse selection than Target. There were some Mission Series and Saga Legends figures, but no pegs even listing the Black Series. My daughter wanted to look through the comics that happened to be next to the Star Wars products, so I dejectedly continued to look around while she was finishing up flipping through a magazine. As I waited, a TRU employee came down the aisle with a single case of what looked like action figures. He stopped in front of the Star Wars products, peeled off a price sticker from one peg and then placed a new sticker on. I asked him if the case contained the Black Series and sure enough, it was! I grabbed Padme, the Clone Trooper Seargent, the Clone Pilot, and the Biker Scout. Wished I could have grabbed them all but as I said, it’s not currently in the cards for me to do so. Anyway, I was just blown away by my perfect timing and so glad I let my daughter take her time checking out the comics!

Thanks again for all your great work!

Martinez, CA

P.S. I had also stopped in at my local Walmart in Martinez, CA but they did not have any Star Wars product out. However, they were in the process of resetting the toy aisle and I saw empty pegs for the Black Series. I asked the employee working on the aisle layout when they expect anything in and he thought there would be some new product later this week or next week.
