Developments On Where Those Five Missing Walmart Exclusives Are

Posted by Paul | November 04, 2011 at 10:54 AM ET

Most The Clone Wars collectors want to know where the heck five (5) of the Walmart exclusives ended up. We want to secure those cool figures like Buzz, Scythe, Keeli and Gearshift. JTA has done extensive research for you and while we are still waiting for updates and answers to some of our questions, we have a nice summary for you of what we have learned. Click through however to see what we did uncover for you and what we are expecting to be clarified further.

What in the world is going on with the following exclusives?

AT-RT With Clone Commander Keeli
BARC Speeder With Clone Trooper Buzz
Legacy Of Terror DVD Two-pack (Obi-Wan Kenobi/Clone Trooper Gearshift)
Brain Invaders DVD Two-pack (Ahsoka Tano/Clone Trooper Scythe)
The Clone Wars Ultimate Gift Set

Well, not much at all is happening with them. We did manage to score both the Hasbro product numbers and the UPC numbers on each item. Please note that the “0450” most likely means “Walmart exclusive and won’t be present on the packaging). Here they are:

Product Number 31708 0450 - UPC 653569603184 (AT-RT With Clone Commander Keeli)

Product Number 31707 0450 - UPC 653569603153 (BARC Speeder With Clone Trooper Buzz)

Product Number 31677 0450 - UPC 653569606901 (Legacy Of Terror DVD Two-pack (Obi-Wan Kenobi/Clone Trooper Gearshift))

Product Number 31678 0450 - UPC 653569606895 (Brain Invaders DVD Two-pack (Ahsoka Tano/Clone Trooper Scythe))

Product Number 32567 0450 - UPC 653569656821 (The Clone Wars Ultimate Gift Set)

Some additional information for you:

JTA contacted Walmart customer relations and they confirmed that they don’t even have these UPC numbers in their computer system. We were asked if we wanted the product and if so, Walmart would ship it to our local store through their Site To Store program. We are waiting to hear back from their merchandising team to see if this product can be located.

But that begs to question where the actual location of this product is anyway. Are you ready for this? Hasbro has confirmed that the Walmart exclusive Class 1 vehicle had an availability date of August 2011 and the DVD sets and the Ultimate Gift Set had an availability date of July 2011. We asked for clarification on what it meant for a product to have an availability date. Hasbro replied to this question that it means that the product was shipped. So does this mean that the product is buried deep in a centralized warehouse somewhere? We’re not so sure. As a result, we have reached out to HunterPR to see if they can attain any additional details for us through Hasbro.

We also wanted to see how accurate their claims were about released products having availability dates in the system so we asked them about the unreleased Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Class 1 vehicles. Guess what? They don’t have availability dates which confirms what Hasbro said at NYCC that these have been cancelled and have not found a home yet.

There you have it. We’d urge you to take these UPC numbers to your local stores and see if anything is in their systems. While it’s unlikely they’ll be able to find anything, it may help spread the word that we indeed want these toys.

Walmart’s customer relations number is 1-800-WALMART.
